I’m sure they realised that. But they would do it anyway. I mean, they build up the hype, and they show their masterpiece. If there is a thing that I’m sure about this “surprise” is that it will be so good.

You are right. But… Why would they cancel an event for Portal 2 for showing a surprise related to Portal 2? Think about it. If it’s just Portal 2, and the surprise is still being related to Portal 2 why would they cancel the event?
Maybe it’s not Half-Life related :’(. But I don’t think it’s about the Portal 2. :slight_smile:

I don’t think Ep 3 and P2 are necessarily mutually exclusive. With Ep 3 focusing at least somewhat on the Borealis, they have to tie in somehow, one would think.

Oh c’mon guys,
isn’t it obvious that the will anounce that portal2 is part of EP3? It’s just Gordon entering the Borealis and thinking: oh, look at that strange weapon! And where is this strange computer voice coming from?
Perhaps they even find a way that GladOS is in fact Gman looking for a new test candidate.

I sure hope those valve representatives over there have thought of fortifying their position and equip themselves with riot control gear, just in case they don’t show or at least announce Episode 3 there.
