Valve rules

Title says it all. Because I bought hl2 in 2005 for my old amd mp computer, I can now download it for free onto my mac. and it will run natively.
How awesome is that? More awesome than a person should get in a given month. Cant wait to see what is offered up at the gdc

hah. A valve appreciation thread, simple and straight to the point :]

I love valve.

VALVe fanboyism thread?

I’m in.

Uuuuuh, yeah. We know this.

The sky is blue.
Birds fly.
Lakes are filled with water.
Bioware games have good writing.

Thank you Captain Obvious.

Yes. Yes they do.

Is Yahtzee your idol or something, John?

No. I just think he makes entertaining videos and funny as hell. And he’s more quotable than a founding father (hence my reference.)

I approve of this thread.

I agree wholeheartedly. Let us raise a glass in a cheerful toast of Valve Software Entertainment Studio Company Enterprises Limited

Steam saves me money! I’m in!

I personally hate macs (I’m taking a turn as captain obvious), but I don’t own laptop and my mom owns a macbook, so the native steam games on mac will be very useful for vacations. BTW have they announced any release dates?

Also, Valve is badass. Half Life was what turned me on to FPS’s and video games in general.

April, I think.

And yes, Valve really do.

Yeah. Valve rocks.

Isn’t this entire forum about how awesome Valve is?

Come to think of it, it’s more about how awesome the BMSTeam is. Still, the amount of Valve fanboyism here is extremely high (unsurprisingly, of course.)

Loving Valve This Month
L4D2 DLC and Portal 2 ftw!

That was beautiful:’( and you’re welcome

///// what he said /////

Valve, you guys kick ass.
Great games, free weekends for the MP ones, a great content delivery system (Now it’s great, anyway. That’s what counts) A beautiful SDK for anyone with any of your source games to use…
Valve just keeps giving, and for what? Because we appreciate them. And round and round we go, until the world explodes (figuratively) from awesomeness.

I never said it was a bad thing (in this case.)

ITT: We state the blindingly obvious. I love valve.

I was kinda pissed at valve after L4D2, which I think is worse than L4D simply because WHO THE HELL SHOOTS ZOMBIES IN DAYLIGHT.

But after this whole Portal 2 fiasco… I have a newfound respect for them, 10x as strong as before. More companies should follow their example; it was nothing short of brilliant.

Long Live Valve.

P.S. Imagine a game with Crysis 2 graphics and Half-Life 2 quality story and engine optimization… drools

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
