When I first tried to connect to the blackmesasource.com page, I got a message saying that the page had been reported to link to malicious content. I then choose “continue to page (not recommended)” so I could let you guys know…

There is advertisements on the black mesa site. I bet one of the advertisements were bad.
ya that. some times bad adverts slip thu the ad agency and is displayed on pages that utilizes that companies adverts. The Malicious Content warning page is some times faster at finding bad adverts than the advertiser is.
Hmm, what browser and version are you using? I don’t get any warnings like that. I guess it’s also possible that you misspelled the domain (it’s easy to do) and that was a domain someone else registered?
Agh, I hate those. Make sure you don’t have any add-ons installed that you aren’t aware of, it happened to me.
Make sure you have one add-on installed, AdBlock Plus FTW!!!

He is not faking that one. I have gotten that ad twice in the past 3 months. It is flash, and the background is animated. It also loads in chrome.
I dont even have photoshop. Thats a real screenshot. I was thinking of making a thread about it, but I saw this thread and figured I’d just put it here instead of making my own. It scared me. I thought it was a prank from the site staff or something, but it was an ad.
Thats the only time its ever happened. Literally like 30 seconds before I made that post in this thread. It hasn’t happened before or since.
I have no add ons installed at all. I even double checked.
Good thing I have wot,noscript,and ad block plus since then I have not seen a pop up on this site in over a year. Also check to make sure you don’t have adware.

I’ll speak with Hubi today to get that ad domain blocked. Ideally no ads would be great, but the web server can’t pay for itself (unfortunately)
