It had a fucking visor windshield wiper! How many other games can say they had that!?
That’s my favorite part of the entire game. That and the lightsaber easter egg. Oh and the squad commentary. Plus shooting parts off of droids. And battle droids spinning in circles when you shoot their heads. And trandos learning to fly when you shoot their jetpacks. etc. And the absolutely EPIC fistshiv.
In my opinion, Discworld Noir is fucking brilliant and far more faithful to the books than Discworld I and II (which were, to be fair, a bizarre mishmash of about 5 different books). If you can get the damn thing to work, have a blast.
Beyond Good & Evil.
enclave , scarface
sacrafice, anybody remember that ?
About Republic Commando, while it was decent, it was by no means underrated. To me it largely felt like a lost opportunity.
While there were some cool things (fistshiv and the lightsaber easter egg as mentioned), and it was an entry into the “Prequel” Star Wars universe that was actually geared towards the old school fans, there were many many points against it
It was linear to a fault, whether it was in corridors or the large outdoor arena type areas, there really was only one way to approach an area and succeed in passing it.
The enemy types were incredibly repetitive to the point where playing through the later parts of the game was more arduous than fun.
Aside from the first scenario, (and yes I understand they’re supposed to be a Special Ops team that go on the super secret deep infiltration missions), it failed to convey the epic scope of the initiation of the Clone Wars. Basically, it felt way way too detached from the larger conflict going on in the Star Wars universe at the time, which leads me to the next point.
Aside from the first scenario, there was really no sense of accomplishment in the missions. It wasn’t about tracking down Grievous or Dooku (which I would think a spec ops team should be doing) and there was no real actual goal (and yes, I know the game served only to give a small introduction to Grievous, but really, they should have waited for Ep. 3 to be released and had an actual confrontation with him, perhaps in the sense of distracting him long enough to save some Jedi or something, -anything-).
Definitely not an underrated game.
And nope, don’t remember Sacrifice at all.
Anybody here heard of Ikaruga?

It is by all means, an awesome space shooter.
Also, I-Ninja.

The voice acting was very meh, but, the gameplay, imo, was good.
I-Ninja was a really fun game, with a bit more polish it would have been very close to incredible. Good call.
I’m not sure if The Dig has been mentioned yet, but that was yet another great Lucasarts point and click adventure game. Damn has that company ever gone to hell.
Yeah, I remember playing the demo for the first time, and I remember saying, “OMGWTFBBQ I WANT THIS GAME NOW”. Then I bought the game and got addicted to it for 5 months.
Secret Weapons Over Normandy
I remember that game, I remember when I unlocked the Star Wars ships for it. Lol.

Wish that moar people played Deathmatch Classic. :’( Makes me cry when I sleep. Quite possibly the most underrated VALVe game. (I hated Ricochet).
Too bad about TFU. It was such a cool engine, and it could have been SOO much better. DMM and euphoria ftw.
TFU could have been a great game with the simple addition of a crosshair so you could actually -direct- an object towards an object instead of pointing towards something and hoping it hits that something.
Those two engines are probably precisely why Lucasarts didn’t release that game on the PC, they didn’t want anyone actually doing anything more spectacular than them with the engine.

Powerstone, a great DC game.

Brain Lord, an actually good SNES puzzle game.

Terranigma, yes, this game actually went on sale online for about $1000. The most expensive SNES game I’ve ever seen in my life. Yet, it’s so worth it. If you own a SNES, and don’t have this game, get it.

Second Sight, very similar to Psi-Ops.
Meh, he looks like the Hidden
Fucking brilliant game from the makers of Timesplitters
I think Gex geko was an under-rated PSone game
Edit, dude.
Just reminded myself of this one:Clive Barker’s Undying.
Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
