Its amazing to see a fellow Romanian in these forums.
sarcasm Or everybody can just learn English. XD
I could help on a German or Spanish translation. I’m a German and Spanish dual major.
And I can help you with Russian translate =)
And who would want to play a translated game?
In any case i have a feeling that something like translation should be done post-mortem… uh, -release, to avoid the need to redo the work again and again as the thing change.
There is nothing worse than developing for constantly changing specifications.
I can help with the English translation. Please give me access to the files!

Some people don’t understand English as good as we do but still want to play the game that’s why. Well, translating it to Turkish will be a pain in the ass but I won’t let anyone else do it :3
Don’t worry bro, you’re not alone.
I can dae ye the scots
*as well as we do
:retard:
I’m surprised no one has really raged about the whole topic of translation yet. It has come up SO MANY TIMES in the past, with people from countless countries offering to work on the various translations. However, it always ends with the fact that translations can’t really happen until after the mod is complete and that they will all probably be 3rd party done.
…doesn’t really leave much to be discussed. Mod will come out, teams will crop up, translations will happen. Done. shrug :freeman:
ps. Thanks for the insight James.
I guess best thing would still be to let the mod be released and let it translate by several people afterwards… most people who will play this are able to speak english and if they do not understand the spoken words (which is sometimes hard for me aswell) there are still subtitles to be used.
And I guess there will be only a translation from the subtitles, not for the voice
Your English grammar is questionable, I don’t see translation as a plausible avenue for you.
I would suppose that an individual who is skilled at translating, would be required to be adept at both speaking and typing in either language regardless of how well that individual can read one language and then render it to another.
I would propose, as most others have already, to wait for release before even attempting a full translation.
And this:
I lol’d at. But a translation will indeed be necessary after release for those who may not know the English language, because you know, the United States isn’t the only country on the internets. . .
It’s also not the only country that speaks English, FYI [color=black]There’s also, you know, England!
Obviously, however I was playing off the joke that says that Americans believe the internet only exists in the U.S. It implies that we are too arrogant and ignorant to look beyond our own borders.
Which, itself, is a stereotype.
It is indeed. It reminds me of Inglorious Basterds where the British agent made the comment which insinuated that Americans could only speak English. Which is only partially true. I can only speak for myself, when I say that I didn’t explore much into other dialects after high school, but I do, on occasion, throw in some French here and there, to confuse people.
:retard:I just like speaking in the accent.
An overly exaggerated French accent is always fun.
Glad to see I’m not alone.
