Classic Military Alarm.
I like the sound too, It’s just overused.
Imma buy a SSD just for BM
That might shave off a second or two, but I think that enough (and fast) RAM might be more useful
I don’t want to see or hear any reference to the Combine.
Agreed, other than Eli, Kleiner and possibly Barney I don’t want any retcons.
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I really don’t want to hear the Half-Life 2 zombie moans and screams in Black Mesa. Preferably I would rather the zombies didn’t moan or scream anyway, seeing as the host is quite clearly already dead.
Well you are gonna hate our moaning zombies…
Are you aware of what you are saying? So, headcrabs are capable of MOVING the entire body of their host, but they cannot possibly move their vocal cords to create non-intelligent sounds? Well, that’s incredible…
And why would they do this? Plus the screams sound like screams of pain and anguish.
But the zombies ARE alive. Half of the idea is that they’re still alive and aware of their surroundings, and trapped as prisoners in their own bodies by the headcrab’s control.
The screams of pain and anguish only add to that- What would you do if an alien was controlling you, and had bust open your chest cavity? Their vocal chords are the only things they can still control.
Haven’t you guys heard the HL2 zombie sounds backwards? Check youtube. They are actually trying to tell you something.

Well if you just shoot the headcrab on their heads they die. Half-Life 1 zombies didn’t scream, they seemed like they were supposed to be dead. Plus in Black Mesa their heads have massive holes in them: https://wiki.blackmesasource.com/images/f/f8/ZSci_Face.jpg
He looks pretty well and truly dead to me, judging by the huge holes in both his head and chest and the dead skin colour.
That’s really an old Easter egg.
Because the bullet hits the host in the head as well?
Yeah, I’m assuming that have holes in them because when you shoot the headcrab off, you are also shooting a part of the host’s head off. They’re not dead, they’re just not human, their blood supply isn’t as much as it was being a human.
Just think logically for once.
Er I was thinking logically, hence why I’m talking about it being anatomically unlikely for them to still be alive. Your point about them being not human makes any points about them screaming in terror about the thing on their head invalid.
The hole in the head is much more likely supposed to be from the headcrab biting through the skull to access the brain than a bullet hole.
you know if you play the screams backwards then it says help me
Yeah but that’s backwards.
Or, y’know, walk around, swing their ginormous clawed hands at you, eat other dead bodies…
they’re screeming for help it’s just you cant understand them and shoot them anyway
I’ve always said death should be a release, not a punishment.
