there’s a thing I wouldn’t want: need to use my crowbar because I lost all my ammo against Nihilianth, seriously I needed to use my crowbar against the ps2 nihilianth after destroying all the crystals and I would preffear get him a little more easy to kill, with more guards but more easy to kill.
What about the Hivehand? There was a second one in the small supply room before the teleporter just for the purpose that you’ve missed it before, because it’s essential if you run out of ammo in Xen.
I’ve never really tested it on the Nihilanth and I guess it’d take a while to kill him with it, but it should do some damage

Maybe they could have one of the portals take you to an Infinate Ammo Cache.
Though I don’t see how you possibly ran out of ammo. I was a walking armory when I got to the Nihilanth.
I’d like to see items actually being picked up, sort of like in L4D, rather than just floating in the air 2 feet in front of the player like this.
To do that they’d have to make a viewmodel for every object you can pick up, maybe even making it a weapon, I’m not sure. But it’s just a lot of work for a little detail.
well the movement of the ps2 hl is very different to the original 1 and you go faster in the ps2, is harder look around when you r getting attacked specially by those floating alien controller I hate their ****** uber powered attacks but I need to say they are easy to kill with the 357 magnum (aka: revolver)

Well, carrying objects is a source engine feature, and is featured in the TOW alpha video. I think we can assume that it will be included. If you don’t like it, don’t pick anything up.
…Including the TOW ammo.

A good and working physics engine was a really new thing when HL2 was released, wasn’t it? It’s just awesome and I don’t know what’s so wrong about it…and it isn’t like you’re carrying stuff around all the time, it’s mostly for the puzzles. Well…except for that little rocketman in EP2…:meh:
What I wouldn’t want to see in BM is too much change from the original. Of course, the look is changed and all, but the overall world should stay the same with all the rooms and stuff. There was this strange discussion about the partly flooded room, as an example…I don’t want to restart the discussion by any means, but it was in the original, so it should be in the remake. Well, that’s my opinion.
the part in blast pit where you go down into the huge fan thing and turn it on… imo… they wouldn’t put it there because it would be impossible for them to provide maintenance to it if it’s on… i know i can get in and out if i hurry but still… that seems a bit inconvenient…
also I’m wondering what that fan even does… does it provide air circulation? if so that’s a bit extreme… >_>
EDIT: Also I noticed when you jump above the fan you get blown upwards… If that is the case you should be sucked up as well even under it. So in that case… that means maintenance workers would go down… turn it on… gib… and spread across the facility…
