Bah, Manual Save is for real gamers.
…real gamers that close their game for the sitting?
What are the benefits of manual saving over quick saving?
None. He’s just saying that Quick Save is some sort of “noob thing”. At least that’s what I understood.
I enjoyed the driving of the airboat and buggy levels, but there’s another problem with those, the having to get out and fight a load of enemies just to turn a switch to open a gate, then fight the respawned enemies again… so maybe the pacing wasn’t as great in HL2 as I made it out to be.
What I was trying to say (and didn’t make clear) is that in HL1 the enemies would be confined to a room, which you’d clear and advance through a couple more rooms to another room with more enemies… I don’t know if it was following a trend at the time, but I remember playing it for the first time and wondering if there were aliens and soldiers supposedly throughout the entire base (apart from Lambda Core, obviously), why were they not more spread out? Maybe my idea of pacing is different to the games industry as a whole!
Also: :fffuuu: cyber-stalking!!! If you’re 15 minutes away, does that put you in Newcastle? Or do you go by car rather than bus times?
i don’t know if this has been said, but i don’t want to see houndeye mating. its gross.
I don’t want to see any dead cats! That ruined Bioshock for me. I do love my cats.
Nah, I’m in the other direction. Knighton, through Madeley. Besides, it takes a lot longer to get from Newcastle thanks to those bloody roadworks. :meh:
He quoted Lord Grievous, not Cha0tic.
im two pages late BTW.
i want to see Raminator and his beautiful nose pwning a Garg.
I DO NOT want to see nade spamming 5 year old retards with mics. even though i will end up seeing that and I will enjoy killing every last one of them with a crowbar
No load times in crucial areas! Who doesn’t hate having to wait through the loading screen only to have to backtrack through that area again? but i am playing the console versions…
I was hoping I could get him to say it. Killjoy.
Begone!
Nah, just kidding.
I assume you have the PC version too? Or at least one of the games which includes the SDK? Otherwise there really is no reason for you to be here let alone concerned about the mods loading times. :retard:
Autosaves that activate as you fall off cliffs. Like in certain parts of Crysis and Crysis Warhead. :meh:
[COLOR=‘Red’]DO NOT WANT. :what:
[off topic post] I lol’d hard at this, I just beat Crysis the other day. [/ off topic post]
Gosh darn it, guys, I was joking with my manual save comment. Of course Quick Save is better.
I don’t want the Multiplayer gameplay to be different compared to the original half-life.
That means:
-No changes to the weapon functions (gauss, crossbow, rpg, ar, 9mmhandgun, longjump-module… and all others. keep the reload-times and all the functions identical to HL1.)
-keep gauss-splash damage
-Recreation of the Half-Life maps with the same proportions and same gameplay but with more detail, that does not affect gameplay (don’t add new areas and don’t add too many areas where you can get stuck, keep the gameplay fast… don’t make the doors too small)
-keep HL1DM’s speed of gameplay (adjustable with a console command)
-no Half-Life 2 movement please (keep the Half-Life 1 movement… I mean circlejumps, bunnyhops, long jumps, duck-climbing, ramp-sliding, gauss-jumps… etc. maybe make it possible to slide up stairs, or little edges)
-same size of player models (hl1 sized playermodels, if possible)
-try to keep the player animations close to hl1 (maybe smoother, but same style please)
-try to keep the maps light enaugh to see your enemies (:
-keep options like an adjustable field of view, a option where you can hide your v_model and make it possible to install custom crosshairs
-I don’t want to see a fucked up net_code (hoping for a nice, precise hit-registration)
-I hope for a good cheat protection.
NEIN! DAS ANDERE IST MACHO!
OT: I don’t want that glitch before the nuke room (with tripmines). Where you can’t kill the sniper untill you have gotten to the guard.
