Gee, only if there’s a way to launch a singleplayer game without having to afford such a huge server…

A game that they have since changed (they removed cheetah mode and leaderboards) to alleviate their server load somehow. Also, the fact that you can’t save your game locally is really fucking stupid.
As I understand it, they temporarily disabled some features in order to keep the server load down.

Maybe they should remove the always online to alleviate the server load. Give the people what they want, and such. It would be a win-win patch. Not to mention Cloud storage should always be used as a backup, not a primary platform.
I think, unless they clean up their act real soon, everyone will pirate it. Period.
I know that if I end up getting it, I certainly won’t be paying for it if it stays in this shape.
It’s not that simple. The problem with the game is that a good part of the mechanics and calculations are offloaded to the EA servers, so it’s not a problem about DRM. The game was built around that mindset so I doubt that patching it is something easy to do.
I think the problem is that they tried to make a social-interaction based game for one of the most isolated demographics known to man.

I hope the devs find some awesome applications for this thing soon because that has got to be the most gimmicky tech demo I’ve seen.
I would buy it just to control my computer with it. And it’s only $70.
Just the fact that you can control the abomination that is the metro interface on windows 8 makes it worth 70 bucks for me.

I was driving to school today and on the highway I was behind a large truck and its tire exploded and parts of it flew off then the truck started swirving.
Scared the shit out of me
I passed a flaming, burnt-out car on the highway one time. Wasn’t really scary or anything.
I’ve passed a burning vehicle before, it’s slightly different when a truck is swirving and almost hitting into several cars including your own while your going 80 mph
