That’s called typecasting and it’s bad and wrong.
Which is why I can’t watch him do the role of Scrooge because I feel it’s Picard on the holodeck. 
(Seriously, though, the only other thing I’ve really seen him in was Robin Hood: Men in Tights, and I didn’t think of him as Picard in that.)
