star trek is awesome no matter what anyone says

which series?

Deep Space Nine. My dad used to love that series to bits, and in a bout of nostalgia, I’ll be picking up a few episodes. Odo was a cool dude, as well as Jadzia, ahd the chick with the ridged nose. Or maybe I should get the movies instead? Dunno… Are there even any movies? :stuck_out_tongue:

I brushed my hair for the first time in a year and a half this morning. No, it’s not a raggedy mess. I just normally shave it before it gets this long. But winter is coming, and I’m not sure if I want to shave it just now…

There aren’t any DS9 movies really. But there is a bunch of movies that have the TNG crew. Then of course there is the old ones with Nemoy and Shatner.

My hair is ridiculously curly. I virtually never comb it, because as long as I keep it short, it pretty much keeps itself passably neat.

It’s kinda a shame, though, because I’m starting to think that I’d actually look really good with a ponytail or a braid or something.

Most of the Star Trek movies aren’t really worth watching unless you’ve seen all the episodes and just want more.

Best way to watch it all is chronologically :3 https://en.memory-alpha.org/wiki/Timeline

If you want to get in to Star Trek, I’d suggest watching it that way. You can still skip the original series if it’s too outdated for you, although it’s pretty awesome too.

Also, Enterprise is significantly worse than all the other series, but still watchable.

Ooh, sweet! Thanks bur, I’ll be bookmarking this. I always thought it was a really cool series, but my dad used to watch the episodes at random so I’m quite lost. Each episode is so different, and the races are all so diverse with their own quirks and appearances, like the greedy Ferengi - it’s amazing. This should be fun :3

I tried watching DS9, but I pretty much dozed off during the pilot; I just couldn’t get into it.

thank you.

I only really like TNG and DS9. Voyager and Enterprise I can’t get into. I gave up trying to watch them full through.
The original series is just too corny for me. I can’t take it seriously. I only like it when I see the parts that are referenced by Futurama.

After my glorious conquest in watching every single Star Trek episode and movie ever, I will agree that TNG and DS9 are the best of the bunch, with DS9 as my favourite.

Completely unrelatedly, after reading the first issue of The Walking Dead online, I got really interested in continuing and thought I’d pick the first book up. I went down to the store today, but I just wasn’t quite sure, so I thought I’d like to see if anyone here would recommend it first.

Yes, get the book. Track down Compendium 1 if you can- it collects the first 48 issues in a volume one of my friends referred to as a ā€œsalt pounderā€ sized book. The TV show’s first three seasons take up about the same amount of time, plot length wise, but the show and the book are very different. Personally I prefer the comic- it’s far more unpredictable and far more ruthless to it’s characters.

I could enjoy TOS when I was watching them all in order, mostly out of nostalgia. I used to watch Star Trek all the time with my dad.

IMO, TNG is definitely the best series.
DS9 and Voyager are a bit tricky.
DS9 has a lot of incredibly good episodes, but also a lot of boring ones. Mostly the ones about the bajoran religion.
Voyager as a whole is really good, but it doesn’t have many episodes that stand out and compete with DS9’s best episodes.

Oh and Enterprise doesn’t even come close to any of the other series IMO. It’s okay, but nothing special. Feels more like any other sci-fi series.
Maybe I’m biased by my dislike of the captain’s actor though. I don’t really like the Vulcan commander’s actress either.

Just never say ā€œwowā€ :stuck_out_tongue:

I keep seeing ā€œTOSā€ as Terms of Service :fffuuu:

Hard at work. Haha.

I didn’t know you liked trees this much in Skyrim.

EDIT : Also I see an N64 down there, I like that ::3:

digging the set of candles myself.

Do I spy some tissues next to the screen? :fffuuu:

The one on the controller is more troubling.

I also recommend it, for various reasons.
