Why did this make me think of THX 1138?
Tomorrow is election day, here in Italy⦠Iām deeply afraid of the outcomeā¦
Our politicians arenāt reliable at all, all of them: they just care for their place in the parliament and to perpetrate ad infinitum a condition of āstable uncertaintyā, without making radical changes⦠and it has been like this for 20 years⦠and still, people continue to vote the same politicians, with the same promises and the same disastrously ineffective āway of workingāā¦
I would like this cycle to be interrupted⦠but if people keep voting them⦠I donāt knowā¦
yeah italy is fucked up lol
and you honestly believe that politicians outside Italy are any better ?
I donāt believe that Giazzo said that.
I know, but I wanted to give him a simple Idea that weāre ALL stung by those lying scorpions, my god theyāre all the same
Belgian politicians are awesome, tbh!
The āproblemā are not the politicians. The real problem are the people, who stubbornly keep on guaranteeing them their seats in the parliament. If people didnāt vote them, they would just go home, and the cycle would be interrupted.
There are alternatives, but the majority canāt see these alternatives. They are too stunned by the propaganda of the majors political groups, to even care to consider reading the programs of all groups.
Iām cool with democracy. What I donāt like is laziness and superficiality of the majority of the voters.
If the voters were really convinced with the political programs they are supporting, then I would respect them, even if their opinion is different from mine. But a lot, a lot of people vote without knowing what they are really voting. Because of the flashlights of the propaganda. And they are the majorityā¦
I guess everyone gets what they deserveā¦
Anyway, I voted.
Voting has nothing to do with it. If people voted differently, different people would be in office, but different people working toward the same, fucked up goal (money).
ah, but you forgot to mention about voting manipulation, when you vote for someone, and someone else gets these āfakeā votes and he gets his ass into office again and again and again
I donāt think that really happens over here though. Which is, I believe, due to the small size of Belgium.
It might be true, Bur. But at least it would give the ābenefit of the doubtā to someone new: i.e. youāre not going to entrust the people who have given, in the past, proof over proof over proof of fucking everything up, and instead letās cross finger that someone new wonāt go in the same direction. At least itās a āpossibilityā, and not a historically-proven certainty.
Thereās no way to predict how things will go. Might be the same, might change something. As Alessandro Manzoni said, āai posteri lāardua sentenzaā, which means āthe future generations will judge better on the current, controversial topicsā.
On a lighter noteā¦
Yesterday my car was covered with snow, I came home after a party, parked inside, and this morning⦠found the garage flooded with the melted snow⦠dammit⦠
cheeeeesecake
Fuck the snow, cars and cheesecake. Back to politics!
Meet the next prime minister of Belgium (2014):

I was at a friendās surprise birthday party last night. I was worried he wouldnāt show (and he almost didnāt), but his sister managed to get him out. It was a fun night, and would have been even if he hadnāt shown. But it was good that he did, and got to have fun at his own party.
what the? haha
So we adopted our first puppy last night. Sheās a beautiful collie mix whoās incredibly fluffy. It only took 22 years.
