The Stanley Parable

The author got a team and is doing a remake.

Does anyone know what the buttons on the wall turning on red or white lights in the control room do? Or are they just a scam?

They’re a scam.

I fucking love the mod. It’s like Douglas Adams came back to life.

And I thought Portal 2 was Douglas Adams-ish. This nailed it.

Also, Stanley was addicted to drugs and hookers.

Loved it.

So who, or what is JP? Because when you come to the ending where “Press “key” on your keyboard” followed by some phrases and then “please die”, it spell out “by JP”.

Also, typing kill in the console there doesn’t do anything. I thought that because it said “please die” I should do it and it would bring me somewhere else, I’m dissapointed.

the guy who made the mod?

Reading the commentary, it is revealed that (spoilers in the black) [COLOR=‘Black’]the buttons simply light up the lights. They don’t do anything and turning on the generator simply starts a countdown to your death.

It was meh IMO. The ending where you go up the elevator had potential, and maybe something special actually happened when you quit, but eh. The rest of it was very meh. Why are they going to remake this? Just because Notch gave it a boost in downloads? Or was there something huge that I missed? (it’s possible that I missed an ending, but I think I got them all)

The dev texture room was slightly amusing though.

Did you go down with the elevator? I missed that ending until I watch a youtube video

I’m not that stupid, I wonder what they stand for. I haven’t seen a name anywhere(The modb page) that tell me that.

Fergus, as far as I can tell, I got all of the endings. Following the narrator completely, going up the elevator, down the elevator, red door, blue door, down the stairs, and hitting the wrong valve.

Because it was a great commentary on video games. You didn’t miss anything you were just to dumb to put it together.

shit i forgot the red door

I downloaded the Stanley Parable and played it today. It’s quite different, I’d say. And yes, he’s remaking the “game”. Harry-UK, he’s looking for people just like you.

Favorite line in the black:
