Oh my! Rum balls! You know I think I will have a few of those please. You know I tried making some of those last year for Christmas. Somewhere along the way I lost count of how much rum to put in the batch and I think I made girlfriend sick. She kept laughing and snorting like a common street flower girl, and she kept saying the oddest of things. Something about toys, games and night time parlor games.

I dare say I won’t be trying that recipe again! :takes a bite of a rumball:

The Skaarj (Unreal) were very kind for letting me borrow the technology, besides I got out the ship with some bruises and broken bones.

But, with some improvements, I’ve put your weapons on them, before swapfox’s parachute somehow acquired those holes.

Rumballs

12 oz. Semi Sweet Chocolate chips
1/3 Cup Light corn syrup
1 C Rum or Burbon
5 C Crushed Vanilla Wafers (about 2 boxes of wafers)
1 C Powdered sugar
2 C Walnuts chopped
Regular sugar to roll the balls in

  1. Melt the chocolate and corn syrup slowly in the microwave. About 1 minute is all that is needed to make it slightly creamy.
  2. Add the Rum or Bourbon to the chocolate and mix as best as possible. (It will be very watery.)
  3. Add chocolate mixture to the rest of the ingredients in a large bowl and mix thoroughly. Let sit for 1/2 hour to set.
  4. Compact and roll the balls in the palm of your hand about the small spoonful size, then roll around in regular sugar.
  5. Let sit another 1/2 hour before bagging or closing them in a container.
