I think Conquest just offers a little bit of everything, with having both vehicles and infantry things to do all the time.
'Course, then the map rotation on a 64 player conquest large server gets around to Operation Locker, and isn’t that a fun time?
I actually love Locker, it’s one of my favorites xD
Locker is fun on 48 players and less, but with 64 players every possible flanking route become a chokepoint.
One fucking menial task after another today. Felt horrid around lunch due to the large vehicle we were driving (I’m susceptible to motion sickness in some circumstances). TRIED to eat lunch out (couldn’t), nearly coughed up what I ate of said meal twice, repaired a bad flushing mechanism in the toilet (still not fixed - partner who I was doing this with said he’ll go out and get some parts for it since the tank is leaking from one of the screws).
Worse, my sister got her car towed, then got into a fender bender with a fucking moron and a bunch of other shit, suffice to say, I’m not happy.
I have a fucking insane amount of work this week:
One economics problem set
One 30 minute economics presentation (still need to pick a topic and research)
4 hours tutoring peers (I work as a tutor at my university)
Prepare for and host a 2 hour review session for an econ class (more tutoring work)
Start a 10 hour a week internship tomorrow
Computer Science homework assignment (Caches and floating point)
Prepare for and host an hour and a half 3D printing workshop
and the kicker:
Help host/lead and prepare for a 24 hour 3D printing designathon this weekend with my club and 60 attendants
This week is going to be miserable.
Welp, my Blu-ray drive decided to wait until the movie I’ve been waiting for months to come out, I purchase a copy and for the copy to get to my home, to suspiciously “die”.
It will not read any disc at all. It shows up in Windows, but claims that no media is in the drive. Using the eject command works. Opening a command prompt says “The device is not ready.”
I am pulling my hair out! ARGH!
i think, in principle, you just earned the legal right to obtain a full backup copy online through other means 
I mean, I’m pretty sure it’s totally legal to download “illegal” copies of things if you already own them.
I have just reinstalled Windows and reaquired all software I need.
CTRL+L isn’t working in firefox anymore and this disrupt my work flow. Since every other shortcut work I guess that it have been disabled in the latest version of firefox for some reason.
Now I have to learn to use ALT+D instead.
You think that’s annoying?
Whenever I alt-tab from Half-Life engine games, the screen decides to shrink into the bottom left of my screen, leaving everything else black, whilst stripping away any form of mouse/keyboard input (excepting for CTRL+ALT+DEL or CTRL+SHIFT+ESC).
And it’s not exactly hard to keep from being caught if you don’t.
yet I’m still paranoid about pirating flash, even if it’s the only rational way to get the thing.
I don’t know if there are even any good alternates.
You guys think that’s annoying? I had to plug my displays to my secondary GPU because the primary GPU had a hardware malfunction and doesn’t output to any screen, so I have to use 3 different programs, keep the 7870 as primary even though there are no displays plugged to it, I have to run every game in windowed mode and press Ctrl+Shift+F11 to transfer the game window from my 7870 to the 6850 (so that the 7870 still does the rendering work), in some games, like FarCry 4 they give only a small window of opportunity where the keyboard shortcut works, once the game is fully launched, if it’s not on the right GPU, I have to start all over.
So I just got made an admin on a mid-sized SS13 server I frequent.
Literally my second day as an admin, I had to deal with a drama spiral that ended with a very old but highly toxic player getting permabanned. Then I spent the next few hours talking to everyone who messaged me in Skype about it, including getting accused of sabotaging his prospects for an appeal by blocking him when he started to bitch at me about it.
And this is in addition to, right as I got adminned, a very old, well-liked player having a complete breakdown and getting themselves banned, then quitting and refusing to appeal because they’re upset with how everyone reacted to them losing their cool.
To say I’m emotionally drained is understating it.
