Sooo… my internet was down for the past three hours, it didn’t occur to someone to reset it (I did it a few minutes ago since someone bitched).

Third break light for my car’s out (there’s two lower ones that are used for signaling, and a third that’s on the top, that’s the one that’s out). There’s no aftermarket parts, and the Manufacture (GM) DOES NOT produce the lamp anymore, in addition to that, I can’t get a new lamp that’s attached to another vehicle. So in other words, I’m dead in the water.
So now I have to remove the lamp carefully without damaging the plastic cover, then pull the thing apart, put new LEDs into it, make sure it works, and then put it back together. Oh this’ll be fun.
Black Mesa is now available on Steam, but people continue to bitch about Xen and ask when it’s coming out, despite the answer having always been when it’s done.
You cannot get something before it is made, motherfuckers. That is physically impossible. Be happy you have anything at all.

more interesting is the fact that here and there the devs have stated xen is still a ways off. shucks, come to think about it, there are some folks that think we also have something to do with HL3, opposing force and blue shift remakes was well.

Google just disabled third-party extensions in Chrome Dev Channel.
That was the last bastion, after they disabled them in Canary. Now there are no Chrome builds available that support third-party extensions.
This is fucking obnoxious.
EDIT: Also, my 120Hz monitor has apparently been running at 60Hz ever since I built my new PC in the fall. That makes me feel pretty stupid, partially for not setting it, and partially for not noticing, because the change is definitely noticeable.

This, but with humidity. I’ve been to San Diego, 40+ C. No problem, that was a dry heat. 30+ C here in Europe? I’m dead. Nearly fell asleep yesterday with the third cup of coffee of the morning still in my hand, and I fully blame the weather.

I dropped a nice chunk of change on a crank-operated sit/stand convertible desk. It was delivered this morning, and I tried to assemble the thing, but two of the bolts stripped out. So, when I had to take it apart a bit to adjust it, these fucking bolts stuck and wouldn’t come out. One of them eventually came out, but got stripped completely bare and ruined the bolt hole it was in. The other one eventually got about halfway out, then fucking sheared off, so now there’s half a bolt stuck in the hole. I can now not put this fucking desk together anymore unless the two parts with these bolt holes are replaced.
I’m pretty much on the mercy of this company’s customer service division. Let’s see if they call it user error, and try to accuse me of not knowing how to work a fucking alan wrench.
Agreed. I like being outdoors without having to put on layers. It’s why I despised this last week on the East coast. Steady high 50s for 4 days.

I’m confused, are you saying 50F or 50C? Because 50C is double the amount required to avoid the outside, and 50F is 10C. 10C is like 5 degrees short of perfect.
Okay to be fair it’s not quite that simple here on the coast because of all the wind and humidity, if it’s a clear sunny day 5C can be pretty warm and cosy, but in a pouring storm I’ll freeze my arse but mostly fingers off when the air temp is technically 20C.
Still, I refuse to put on anything thicker than a hoodie if it’s above zero.
