I’m already imagining a movie scenario where, after an airplane crash, a UPS delivery man is stranded alone on a desert island for 7 years with your iPhone among the rubble who survives thanks to a talking voleyball.
Then about 7 years later you get a package on your doorstep labeled “this package saved my life” you open it and it’s an outdated water-damaged iphone.
There was a rumor going about that, in the movie Castaway, there was a fully charged satellite phone with GPS in a waterproof pouch in that FedEx package Tom Hanks held onto.

Castaway was a fantastic movie. Tom Hanks really shows his acting chops.
He’s a great actor. He did a film in 2012 called ‘Cloud Atlas’ where he portrays six different characters across six different time frames and you walk away stunned at how talented of an actor he is. I could only wonder how he could bring to life his dialogue as one particular future character. I believe if most actors would have read it they would have simply said what the heck is this and how do I do it.
Yeah definitely, great film, great actor, no argument here. You can’t deny it’s one big commercial, too, though

No, not yet. Something similar happened a year ago or so, resting did the trick then. Plus, doctor’s visits are more expensive for us now because of the ACA. (Something about the two plans I was being covered under no longer being allowed to overlap) So I can say seriously, with a straight face:

Yes, yes, first world problems. The problem is we’re already fairly close to using up each month’s income completely, so there’s very little wiggle room. Adding medical expenses to that could put us in a worse financial place. It may not be life-breaking but it’s still a hindrance.
