So there I was, at a lovely green park, as vacant as it could be (by the cause of Tuesday). Seated halfway between some tennis courts and a saltwater shore, I ate a can of tuna in the shade on a splendid 76-degree day. A boat had passed, going up the bayou, and during this high tide I heard the waves roll up the sand and shatter against marsh-grasses and the concrete ramp of the boat-launch. I’ve just started on a book, and the peace around me is soothing.
As I reach the third page of Moby Dick, a car pulls up and parks between me and the shore, and it just sits there… blaring dubstep.
