The Last Film You Saw.

From Paris with love. :meh:

this is not the case. most reviews i’ve read say it’s a pretty faithful adaptation.

The writer of Fight Club thought that the movie was better than his book.

so? we were talking about american psycho.

Eh, I didn’t hate the movie. I actually thought it was pretty cool. Thought maybe the book was better, and was totally wrong. The movie is portrayed as a sort of dark comedy but the book is 100% serious, at least as far as I got, which just ruined the entire thing. I mean, he’d go on for pages describing what he’d do to this girl when he got her home. Not my kind of book.

Wow I haven’t seen that movie since I was a little kid. I gotta find it somewhere.

Anyways, I just got back from Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. I thought it was hilarious, and I loved the graphic novel and video game styles they did the movie in. The only thing I can say bad about it is that in some parts, I felt some of the video game stuff was overdone, or rather, used in places it didn’t really need to be. Like it would have been nice if they gave the effects a break for a bit at certain key points, especially at the end when the novelty of the effects had kinda worn off, but they kept putting them in anyways. All in all though, definitely worth seeing.

About Fight Club: the movie is pretty faithful to the book, and both were excellent. The book is a bit deeper than the movie, and the main character meets Tyler in a much different situation.

Yesterday, I watched two movies. Serenity, which was pretty good, I enjoyed it more than the show, partially because it had less of a wild west theme. I also watched Terminator Salvation. Way better than T3 in every way. Then again, it wouldn’t be hard to do better in the story department, considering the groundwork laid by the first two movies.

i loved the book, honestly. the movie was shit, they switched around events, removed/changed characters and a bunch of other unnecessary shit. the book is funny if you have the right sense of humor.

Killers :meh:

My dad was watching a John Wayne western marathon so I say bits and pieces of a bunch of those.

The Informant 8/10

Not really funny, even thoguh it was billed as a comedy, but entertaining enough. Some real embarrassing situations that I had trouble sitting through though. Also, no first ten minutes…

The Crazies :meh:

Can anyone suggest a GOOD hor movie that creeps the hell outta you and/or scares you shitless? Doesn’t have to be a new one.

Poltergeist (just the first one) and the Shining (with Jack Nicholson) come to mind.

Not scary, but creepy. Blindness. Creeped the fuck out of me. I couldn’t stop thinking about it for weeks, and it fucked up my sleep for days.

War of the Worlds. I’m terrible at watching movies:/

REC 1 and 2
Psycho
Paranormal Activity
Eraserhead
The Shining (as mentioned above)
1408

What do you know about horror movies when you don’t put Alien (1979) and The Thing (1982) on that list?

edit:

“newer” good horror movies; [REC] and that movie where those woman go into a cave and find crazy shit there, forgot the name but it was pretty damn good.

Incomplete list obviously. Those were the first to come to mind.

This, 100%

I am so going to hell for downloading all those movies you suggested.

…going to hell very slowly cause my internet sucks.
