yeah the movie was horrible as a whole, but christian bale definitely nailed the character imo.
Vampires Suck. 'twas decent.
Event Horizon was probably the scariest/creepiest movie I’ve ever seen.
Event Horizon was one of those “look, demons and blood! scary, ooooooo!”.
Aw, I thought the movie captured the book pretty well. Obviously it wasn’t as good, but certainly wasn’t “horrible”. Used 80s stylized elements in order to reflect the emptiness of all the characters back on themselves. And Christian Bale pretty much was the movie.
Jean isn’t supposed to be a block of wood. i understand how they couldn’t put a lot of the movie in, but it was pretty much directed by a crazy feminist who took all the women’s deaths out of the movie when it’s pretty much a huge part of the book. and changing character names, removing characters and switching around events really wasn’t necessary.
It wasn’t necessary, no, but it didn’t ruin the movie. It just refocused it.
Sunshine was pretty darn good
So was Moon.
In theatres the last two things I saw were Scott Pilgrim, which I enjoyed, but did not care for the ending, and Inception, which I liked very much,
I saw Once yesterday. Great little movie.
Losers. DO NOT WATCH UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES. Complete and utter piece of crap.
Kick ass. Cool in a very retarded kind of way.
Next in line: [REC] gulp
[Rec] is amazing.
Especially when watching it alone in your room at 3:00 AM with the lights off. Pant-pooping worthy
The american remake is crap though
The Expendables.
The movie most certainly fulfilled my expectations. Testosterone all over the place, explosions, big bang, heavy weapons, exploding heads and upper bodies, conspiracies, comradeship, betrayal, no cheesy romance, some humorous bits (the Schwarzenegger bit made me lol). All woven together by a feeble story.
It’s like a modern day 300.
Finally saw Dark Knight. That is definitely a five star movie. Everything about it was simply amazing.
I hate that word with a passion; camaraderie sounds so much better.
[REC] is definitely the scariest movie I’ve seen in a long while.
Just watched REC. It’s 2 a.m. and I reeeealy don’t feel like sleeping anymore.
Mixed feelings about the movie. For the first 20 minutes it felt as though I’ve downloaded the wrong movie but then it gets better and better (or should I say worse?) Had it not been for having to read the subtitles and the occasional overdone sound effects, I’d probably be dead by now. As it is, I am dead scared of turning the light off or putting my headphones on. Fuck, the tree branches scraping at my window ARE NOT FUCKING HELPING.
[EDIT]Turned my phone off after almost peeing myself when a text message came. I never read the message. Now I have think of something to do until I can go to sleep. I heard there’s a new mod out, Nightmare house or something…
Yeah the beginning makes you wonder a little bit, but in the end it sets the pace perfectly for the rest of the movie .
Haha man… reading that I wish I hadn’t watched the movie just so I could watch it for the first time again… awesome shit.
Never seen the second though, anyone approves it? Apparently it’s only getting released in theaters here next week for some reason so I was wondering if I should watch it.
I know, awesome movie.
I had heard a lot about people not liking the second one but I watched it anyway because I figured it couldn’t have been all that bad. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It takes the story in a fairly different direction than you’d think it would go but it’s kind of refreshing.
I didn’t find [REC] to be that scary. It was entertaining however. Just to let you guys know, [RED] 2 has already been released. Definitely not as good as the first one. Additionally, the plot has diverged to the supernatural category. Not a big fan of that choice. Speaking of horror movies, “1408” was probably the last film that made me lose sleep. It wasn’t exactly scary throughout, but it was very creepy. You don’t really feel the effects until later in the day when it kind of just burrows under your skin. Should, definitely check it out if you’re looking for a horror fix.
Hang on, you thought 1408 was scarier than [REC]? You must have seen different versions of both films than I did as I found it the other way round. 1408 was a great movie and certainly had it’s scary moments but [REC] was much, much scarier. One of the best horror films in years. I’ve yet to see the sequel. It was on very limited release here a little while back and I managed to miss it >
