After years of being a ghost this is the one thread that has inspired me to join the forums! I cant believe that after 7 pages there has been no mention of Star Control 2! That game had it all witty dialog, great plot, excellent space combat, and freedom to explore. I’ve had it on every computer I’ve ever owned since the early 90’s till it got to frustrating to run. Then, thank the gods, they remade it in its current incarnation as the Ur-Quan Masters which is free from source forge. Get it, play it, and see why it is one of the best games ever made and totally worthy of being called a classic.
No, it was for PC too. I only played Croc2’s demo, but I loved that, especially the mine cart riding part
Hmm, I do not remember the exact name, but have you played a 2D platform game, where you controlled a clown?
I remember playing this game my first computer, a windows 3.11 PC.
Test Drive 3
Oh man. i played that croc demo over and over and over again…
I only played it via the latest Rampage installment in the series, but it’s still fun.
EDIT: I disregarded the title… oops. This isn’t a PC game, it’s an arcade game.
There’s a few flash versions for those desperately wanting a replay.
Shadows fo the Empire, I was replaying the hoth level countless times.
Thief
Gods!!!
I love this thread so FUCKING MUCH
also.
GOOD OLE LOOKIN’ GLASS
Oh ! yes and for the “Rampage”, i remember getting kicked out of the arcade once, i started slamming the screen with a magazine because i ran out of credits. i was like 6 years old man… that’s a rampage alright.
Excellent times.
Same, did you know about the levitating trick? Talespin and Jump at the same time and then Tailspin again at just before Croc starts to fall, and you can hover around in the air for a good 3 seconds, it makes the later levels in the retail version way easier
Krusty’s Funhouse? only clown game that comes to mind
No, not that. I remember the clown I’m talking about was built from spheres. His hair was 3 white spheres in both sides, and he could shoot spheres to the enemies. Also, there was a map, where everything was black (a cave maybe), and you could see things only in the 3 meter radius of the clown. There were even game-in-the-game minigames, where you have to play with some kinda arcade machine in-game.
I found no pics from it and I dont know its title. I found it in a 101-games pack, and was probably for win95.
Probably its name was Dr xyz or Mr xyz, or Xyz the clown.
Oh shit man. i did it once by accident. after i saw it i was like “wat”. but then i profited from it
The Incredible Machine Yay!
This is also true.
EDIT: Woah, missed a page. Never mind.
I recall we used that in middle school as a lesson about… something.
I just found ways of torturing cats.
Wow, forgot about that.
Awesome
