The golden age of PC gaming - classic games

On some of the higher levels it was quite hard to reach the goal. I remember when there was all sort of things like pistols, balloons, scissors, plugs and fans.

Best C&C ever.

Yes.

Nope, sorry, it’s Red Alert. MODIFIED Red Alert, where you can train civilians with superweapons and ore trucks have 120mm cannons and dogs can jump almost entirely across even the largest maps in a single bound and murder people with nuclear bites.

What the hell are you talking about, your post had not one shred of sense.

Gasp! You haven’t been lucky enough to behold. There’s few things that can beat seeing a dog suddenly go flying through the air like a plane, landing on his victim delivering a bite that sends up a mushroom cloud, then immediately soaring through the air to his next victim.

I have to side with the view that Tiberian Sun is the greatest of the Command and Conquer games. But that’s just my opinion.

Must, resist, spouting about Generals Zero Hour…

Rayman!!

PC Gaming

Abe’s Oddysee and Abe’s Exoddus.

the early 90’s when lucasarts was making REALLY amazing original games

System Shock 2, the G.o.a.T.

by some amazing stroke of luck, SS2, Half life, and Deus Ex were the first 3 PC video games I ever played (aside from sports games, and some X-wing game that was actually pretty bad ass) and most games since have been a disappointment

I think 2 N64 games also require a shout out: Perfect Dark and MK Mythologies: Sub Zero.

ah the good old days

Anything made by Sierra Studios back in the 90’s…The Leisure Suit Larry series , Phantasmagoria , Gabriel Knight , Kings Quest series , Swat , Lighthouse…all great games. I would love to see a remake of Lighthouse and Shivers!

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
