sorry for the absence. I had to pick up my kid from school. I will be sure to be more vigilent.
I find nothing particularly alarming about either of those threads. But your concern is noted.
You know what we need? We need to give that certain someone mod powers…
…Iso?
No, he’s admin material.
and here I thought he was a thorn in everyone’s side. sriously. i am disapoint.
But giving him the power to ban people would just further prove he is butthurt if he were to ban the people who made fun of him.
not gonna happen. lets carry on…
So, are you admitting that this game have a “supporting” gang and that you, your group, attack people, even in a non legal way, if you don´t agree with their opinions?
Is that what you are saying and is that the kind of support this group intends to give to a game?
That is a strange way to support a game.
I think a certain amount of “hazing” is only to be expected in any community, for the most part it is in good humour, it tends to only happen when people are being a bit stoopid on a repeated basis. Having said that, I can understand why some people would find it offensive.
No, Obviously we do not have a “gang” that goes around attacking people.
and if you think it’s fine to tolerate someone who makes fun of someone’s family passing away and who goes arond picking fights with everyone, just to get a retort and slink off complaining about rude people, by all means tolerate them. but I will NOT, and nether will lots of people here apperently.
this has absolutley nothing to do with supporting black mesa, or legality. (please tell me why you said that legal bit because I am having a hard time imagining how that pertains to an international internet forum)
next time I will use completely serious and unembelished words for new people. and I apoligise that my post was not so over the top that someone was still able to take it seriously.
cuz after all, the internet is serious bizness!
ultrasvin, try not to read too much into everything here and all will be peachy keen and smelling clean.
To (rot)(fodder and CatzEyes93, ok i think I had really read too much and understood (rot)(fodder words wrongly. Thanks for clarifying it for me.
I just read through this entire thread in case I had anything to add…all I can really say is I check the forum every few days but do not really post.
I do think there’s a fine line between good humour and cold stone emotionless boredom. As in I think it’s a good thing that the staff have their sense of humour, ban games and what have you, rather than them being mindless ruthless machines without mercy. :fffuuu:
Same with forum members. Everyone should be able to take a joke, but there’s a difference between poking fun and just plain bullying.
I’m not entirely sure if I’ve really said anything here that’s already been posted in one sense or another in this thread, but I suppose extra emphasis on a friendly atmosphere isn’t a bad thing, right?
I think extra emphasis is good. Thanks for offering up your 2 cents. =0)
It’s all good, bro.
This has been suggested before, but I don’t know if it got into this thread.
People should not be able to make threads unless they have at least 10 posts.
That way, cockroaches would have to actually look around and find the “Got a Question?” and “It’s all in the detail” threads.
You’d think so, but you’d be wrong.
I think this more or less might be why a lot of people dont post.
Of course, it might be at varying degrees and doesnt make the forum good or bad, it just describes some people’s experiences.
Edit: What i pointed to might not be totally constructive but i thought it was worth pointing anyway.
I think we should delete everything in the forums and just redirect everyone to the wiki.
no?
Yes.
Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
