The Elder Scrolls Online

What I saw was a mix of Warcraft, Dark Messiah and Dungeons and Dragons: Online with a pinch of The Elder Scrolls.

I was not pleased.

This can’t end well for anybody

Don’t you know? You have to make a WoW clone to have a successful MMO.

I’m not the biggest fan of TES so it being an MMO doesn’t interest me one bit.

Half life 3: online

Looks to be Elder Scrolls in name and setting only.

Art style is off, combat isn’t real time, forced set classes, third person and such not really TES. It could still be good but I doubt I’ll like it because i generally dislike MMORPGS but I’m going to keep an eye on just because of the little elder scrolls aspects I do see in it.

I just really hope TES doesn’t become a franchise that’s milked the fuck out of

I mean I may disagree with some of the design choices of the newer TES games, but they are still pretty much the games the devs want to make.

Hopefully this has a free2play element so I can walk from one end of Tamriel to the other just to say I did it. Otherwise, this holds no interest to me. It looks like high poly Heroes 5 graphics, and no matter how much they say to the contrary, it is still just WoW with Nords.

I will however be anticipating TES 6 in the next decade, and will gladly be purchasing because I like all the real Elder Scrolls games from Arena to Skyrim. Arena and Daggerfall give me headaches unfortunately though. :frowning:

Are there ever threads on this site where the community DOESN’T complain about new releases?

Because Jesus… Black Ops II. Gay. TES online. Gay. Valve at E3? Gay. Halo 4? Gay. People complaining about complainers? Gay also…

Maybe people should stop making crappy games and we wouldn’t complain :bulb: .

You see people complaining about Skyrim?

Nope because it may have its flaws but it isn’t gay.

Headaches because of graphics or the dungeons?

Also I agree totally, Bethesda is one of the best companies to support nowadays because even if they shit all over your face the shit still contains gold nuggets in it.

I don’t feel like linking more but you get my point.

None of the games he mentioned are out yet.

Nope. Cant say that this is something I want to play…

I would have been happy with some form of co-op or full on multiplayer free roam with quests as an added mode for Skyrim, but this does not do it for me one bit…

I’d be fucking happy with a multiplayer DLC for skyrim just for the notion of cooping it with a buddy and being able to chop his head off when he steals your loot but nooo, they gotta make an mmo instead

Have they say anything about how many bugs are on launch?

There will probably be many, but most will be hilarious…

What happened to the good old Elder Scrolls Grit? Just because it’s an MMO they have to smooth everything over? Come on! The dirty dangerous look is the only thing setting it appart from other fantasy titles. I couldn’t even tell those were specifically ES related by glancing at those shots.

Well, we can all be happy that since it’s being farmed out to another company it leaves Bethesda free to continue giving us great TES games. If we don’t like the idea of TES online we can just ignore its existence.

At least it kinda fits the IP. It’s not like a Halo MMO or something. I’m so fucking glad that was canned.
