The 20,000 Facebook Likes Challenge

I am too old to have Dragonball Z in my childhood. An older metaphor would be Peter Pan and everyone clapping to revive Tinkerbell. Or Dr. Seuss’s “Horton Hears a Who”.

Unless your telepathic or something, I don’t see how this makes any sense, either.

Shit, my mistake. I totally should have picked that overly contrived metaphor up.

Rock Paper Shotgun might post something about this so we may get more likes monday.

No DBZ in your childhood? How did you learn such values like: Steroids
(AKA Senzu beans are good for you), or that only the strong and powerful survive. D:

Even if we don’t hit 20k likes (which we most likely will), I’m sure they’ll release whatever they’re holding over our heads anyways, this is just a loyalty test.

It’s gotta be a new trailer

I have a feeling it will follow a lot of disappointment if it’s just a couple of screens, cool as they may be.

Or maybe it’s just ONE screen. Of Xen.

^ Doubt it’s Xen. Trailer, most likely.

They already confirmed pages back it’s only screenshots. Don’t get your hopes up.

No, they confirmed there were screenshots, not that it was only screenshots.

I’m getting sick of all these appetizers…where’s the main course?

You mean bms-Harmony?

I HIGHLY doubt it is a trailer.

I dont see the devs making that mistake again.

The devs have over the last couple years all but said (or at the very least strongly implied) that there wont be another media release until the game is ready to ship because to be honest they just cant stand all the bitching and conjecture that every new media release brings.

For this reason I strongly suspect that this new media will be directly related to a release date.

This is not because I am some fan kid who just wants it to be so so bad but honestly because can anybody who has been around here for a good stretch of time and who has seen the shit the devs have gone through say that they would even think about releasing anything that ISN’T related to an imminent release?

Why would they do that to themselves?

Think about it.

Besides little clips linked to on the interwebz I’ve never watched DBZ, yet I picked up on the reference immediately.

Eh? The RPS interview made it quite plain that the mistake they made wasn’t the trailer itself, but the announcement of a 2009 release date slapped on the end of it.

So what you’re essentially saying is that they… will make the same mistake again?

And somehow if it’s a new trailer that means the media can’t be related to a release date?

I cannot name a specific thread but I am almost certain that there was a conversation with a dev in here somewhere where the dev was asked if there would be another trailer and the answer was a flat “no we have no plans to redo the trailer while the mod is still in production because it would needlessly take time away from working on the mod” but I could be wrong and I am too tired and not interested enough in proving myself to go search it down right now. So in my opinion no I strongly doubt it will be a new trailer but that said hey I could be wrong.

Gee, Garth, how about you pick up my cock immediately? I didn’t even watch the video past the fact that it was Dragon Ball Z, but of course you need to show how insecure you are with yourself.

Anyways, how close are we – don’t feel like logging onto Facebook…?
Edit: nvm we are at 16,000

why they removed the like button and added the “Over seven years in under 30 seconds” video?
now its even more difficult to like it

edit:
oh… nvm looks like it’s back now

also the https://terminal.blackmesasource.com/public/mediaupdater/#-status doesn’t update in my firefox… it just keeping showing the same number and I need to refresh to cahnge

Where?

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
