It was cool when all the Bro’s on Steam Chat played.
I miss Patonki’s and Keresh’s shit.
Now it’s HL2 DM and HL2 DM only.

Well i havent played it in fucking ages, says ive got 9 gigs of updates to download lol. But i cant get my head around why they would make it free.
Shuffle your brains a little bit?
hint: Mann co.
Elaborate please
I don’t see why people are complaining, it really wasn’t that expensive of a game AND you already have played it before hand. I paid for it and didn’t realize it wouldn’t work on my computer and you don’t see me complaining
TF2 used to be one of the best games that Valve would sell, and they just turned it into hell.
The community pretty much told them they were okay with all of the hellish additions, though. To the point that the community itself began producing them.
You’re an idiot if you still can’t figure out how to have fun with this game in one way or another
TF2 is like SNL. A lot of people loved it at first, but people having been whining since the first changes that it’s been ruined, that it’s not good anymore. This isn’t any different to me. Maybe it doesn’t fit your taste anymore, but who cares? It’s the same with people who like to proclaim that Halo or Call of Duty sucks. It doesn’t make you smart. It doesn’t make you cool. It just means you like to be irritatingly pretentious about your opinions.
Don’t take this to mean I don’t think people should have varying interests and likes and dislikes - I just hate it when people are so cocksmashingly smug to declare their opinions as absolute facts. It’s like some disease the whole internet has.

I don’t understand at what point it became that way. Are there too many weapons? Did hats really screw it all up? Is it too unbalanced?
loony, it’s not unbalanced. They have all their advantages and disadvantages. The most people just complain that there are too many items.
Valve isn’t stupid. They had thoughts about this.
The new Backburner, and a fair slice of the uber update items (Recycled from old FPSB skins/rejected polycount entries BTW) are rigged like whoa. Get 'em before they’re nerfed
Valve really earned more money from hat sales than from actual game sales. Very good strategy to make it F2p in my opinion but I am somehow afraid that Valve won’t give the same attention to it now that it is free.
who gives a fuck it’s been played to death
I wonder if people that paid for the game get any sort of benefit, or free items when it goes free-to-play. Like Global Agenda, people that bought the game were automatically upgraded to ‘elite’ status.
Not too bothered though really, bought the game in 2009 and have only 32 hours of gametime overall.
The only advantage i see is that now the whole world can download and use BM!!!
No-one seemed to have thought of this.
But i must admit its really bad now. Not only have they made it free, they’ve updated it and starting games isn’t like it used to be. Can’t find to old severs i used to play on. (if anyone know where the nightteam has gone then tell me please!)
And personally i think the Man.co is really bad; it made the game too diverse and now made it free.
I don’t think that the Source SDK is included when you download now the free version of TF2.
No favorites, what about history? Everything is still the same.
Somebody in the hlcoders IRC channel just tested it: you can’t use the SDK base when you only have TF2 for free.
I haven’t had a look at that. Thanks for the advice.
Ah well. looks like people are going to have to buy source (one of its games) after all.
People,I want to ask you about one thing :
Free TF2 comes with source sdk. So,is it possible to play Black Mesa with it or do it still need HL2 ?
Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
