Unfortunately, I have a feeling i won’t be able to contain myself if they release more gameplay.
I just hope the game is better than Oblivion. Oblivion just doesn’t hold my interest very well. Probably has something to do with the copypasted grass terrain that makes up most of Cyrodill.
I am going to just say this.
Skyrim will be LOADS better than Oblivion.
The simple reason being they put a LOT more effort into the world this time. TES doesn’t have any distinguishing attributes as far as gameplay mechanics go (its either a fairly generic PC-style RPG or recently a generic Action RPG). I think its best to judge their merit sheerly on the world.
Oblivion felt boring in comparison to Morrowind because its world was less interesting and it didn’t make you as compelled to explore. Just looking at footage of Skyrim the world is far more unique and interesting than Oblivion. Is the world more interesting than Morrowind? We shall see.
I agree about the gameplay- Condemned did first person melee far better.

You guys probably won’t see me here until December. it’ll probably take me that long, if not, longer to finish the main quest. By the time i come back, as ES games tend to take ALL my attention for about a year at a time, (no joke), Black Mesa is sure to be out and available for download.
i was so distracted by Oblivion back in 06 that it wasn’t until the following year that i had even heard that HL2:Ep1 came out. Even then, i never got around to it until the Orange Box released and i finally played Portal and Ep2. i didn’t even KNOW there was an Episode Two!!

Ya, I’ll probably not be on as much either. The more things I have to do the less I spend here although this is most likely true of everyone.
Couldn’t agree more. And what Tei said, I’ve put prolly 500 hours into Oblivion from when i first started playing it to when I started moving on to new games. I’ll be doing the same thing with Skyrim, maybe more. And I usually only visit these forums bc there is nothing else to do and no other games that I wanna play or waste my money on so i come here to pass time and check out what’s new.
I will be rarely coming here once i get sucked into Skyrim and become addicted.
Not only will I be online less, but my grades will probably decrease slightly due to playing on school nights til morning.
