TES V announced at last - it's Skyrim!

Is anybody else getting frustrated with the menu and inventory? It’s so… click-unfriendly. I’m finding myself using wasd and enter for choosing items more and more now.

yep, though I use E instead of enter.

Favorites/quick access menu is a must.

I wish they would have just used number hotkeys instead of the “favorites menu”

I guess they were going for something different.

Now, to undo the negativity surrounding my first skyrim post. I absolutely LOVE combat in this game. I think they nailed it on the fuckin’ head… hand to hand, weapons, magic…

The finishing moves make you feel like a badass. I was attacked by bandits, and one of them told me to start running so they could

I had the last laugh though, because I killed them all, and the final one fled. I stabbed her in the back. With a finishing move.

You can number hotkeys 1-8 for spells in your favorites if u didn’t know

i am experiencing mouse lagg, and a lot. the tweaking didn’t really help me, any help?

I get it too, haven’t been able to fix it so I’ve just been playing with it.

Defeated my first two main quest dragons, but then another one appeared in the middle of nowhere. It was so strong that I had to flee.

Is it like mouse acceleration? I saw a few places that gave a solution to that, but I don’t know it off the top of my head.

here
you go

Here’s my .ini I got from some website. It works pretty well, although you’ll need to change your resolution back.

Also change these if they aren’t already changed:

bTreesReceiveShadows=1
bDrawLandShadows=1

This makes everything cast shadows and makes casting shadows on trees possible.

EDIT: And if you wish to disable quest markers and the compass:

bShowFloatingQuestMarkers=0
bShowQuestMarkers=0
bShowCompass=0
SkyrimPrefs.txt (3.22 KB)

I don’t know how to make spoiler tabs, but I think I found something nobody has found.

In Blackreach, there’s a giant floating yellow sphere that looks like the sun, and I accidently used Unrelenting Force on it while trying to Whirlwind Sprint to jump across a gap onto it. It made this weird bell noise, and a dragon named Vulthuryol flew out of nowhere. I fought and killed him, he dropped some magical items and had a lot of extra health.

Searched online before posting this to see if anybody knew about it, no results. Have fun.

Here’s your spoiler tags: spoiler: you will die alone

Nice find. I’ll have to check it out.

Doesn’t work if you’re using the classic skin like me though.

???

Bottom left, see Black Mesa: Dark Beta?

Change it to the classic skin and you’ll know what he means.

And you will know how incredibly stupid he is for using it.

Dark Beta is too mainstream.
