TES V announced at last - it's Skyrim!

He probably means a GUI for editing the ini that makes it easier and more clear for people to use.

I was forced to disable vsync to get Skyrim to even respond at all to my mouse, but it still lagged.

After I changed the graphics settings from Medium to High the lag went away and the game runs perfect. O_o

That is a bit odd.

And on the subject of slowdown, I was getting some east of Whiterun while working my way around The Throat of The World, but only in a small area. (somewhat near the Old Orc)

The rest of it is smooth. Indoors and outdoors.

I had a bit of lag when in dungeons but it went away with some tweaks to the ini files.

By the way, The Aurora Borealis is truly breathtaking.

I saw it, but it was behind clouds :frowning:

Got a pic of it, with the (larger) moon, behind the temple where the Greybeards live.

…well?

Well well well.

Maxed out HD screenshots for anyone on the fence about buying.

One thing that bugs me about this game is the map. While it’s very pretty, it’s not very useful for finding your way around.

Ditto.

I suggest getting the clairvoyance spell.

So I’m 15 hours in and have been to one major city and one smallish city. This god damn game.

damn, UPS, WTF? 5 days to get from Sacramento to Idaho?

If this is true, then there is no reason to face palm at me. Not my fault you can’t say “config editor”

Disregard.

This game is incredible.

The UI and map could have been different, but other than that. I’m already overwhelmed and consumed by the game.

I kinda like the map. Its better for navigating than a paper map since you can actually see where the mountains are.

Yeah, that’s true. It has its advantages.

A mix of both would be perfect. Like, keep the current map, but add roads to it.
