i noticed something just a bit ago. i got exactly what i wanted!
There are actually roads that lead to the borders of Skyrim complete with gates and guard posts. However, Morrowind’s border gate is the only one with details laid out beyond the gate. Still hoping for Morrowind DLC, though.

SkyrimNexus.com’s only got a few worth a click. Most of what’s popular are prettifying nudie mods and skimpy armor replaces. While i’m not particularly against characters look’n good, my main character isn’t a 17 year old Japanese schoolgirl.
…yet.
in particular, i’m looking for clothing and armor mods to decorate my character(s) with lore friendly, realistic and comfortable duds. Obviously we still have a little waiting before modders can ADD content and items, but are there any “in progress” mods worth taking a look at?

Have you installed any of those mods and played around with them? No, I’m guessing. The game looks amazing if you mod it well, you can ruin it too, but mine doesn’t exactly appear “plastic”, and it definitely didn’t lose the Skyrim feel.

Not going to unmod my game and post screens of that, but here are some modded ones.
My suggestion would be to take a look at this It goes into extreme detail about tons of improvements and changes to the game. I usually avoid the “sharpen” stuff but there is a really cool visual mod he recommends as a alternative that IMO makes the game look even more amazing.
Tried to record an interesting glitch a bit ago. For about 5 minutes, Stenvar started walking backwards…everywhere. Everywhere he went, he kept backpedaling, looking over his shoulder with a goofy face. it was weird. if i spoke to him, he’d turn and address me face-to-face but the moment i moved, he’d about-face and start following me backwards! He wasn’t looking at anything but me or trying to do anything else but follow, but dammit, he puttered about with me for a good 5 minutes around High Hrothgar, heel first with a shit eatin’ grin on his face.
That gin never left his face either! He looked like someone’s dorky little brother just trying to get attention. i kept expecting him to make some joke like, “i’m gonna fart on yoooou!” “i’m gett’n closer!” “Can ya smell it?”
Weirdest shit i’ve seen so far. i couldn’t ALT+TAB out of the game to start FRAPS fast enough, though, to catch it.

Agreed. Anyone who is dumb enough to assume any of the mods you linked, all of which I use (plus more) is in any way not beneficial has no idea what any of them do or just assumes that the Skyrim Nexus is just some site for weird perverts who just want to make nude mods without judging it on it’s own merits. Sorry somewhat of a rant, but modded Skyrim is fucking awesome. And anyone who just assumes this is the extent of modding is an idiot.
Yeah, the modding community is total shit, but there are enough people who make good mods that you’ll end up with a much better experience if you use them.
i’m actually determined to contribute more this time around for mods.
My first mod idea has already been done (very well, might i add) but there’s still lots that i really want to play around with.
