TES V announced at last - it's Skyrim!

Me neither.

ninja’d

I only knew about it in Bloodmoon, and it was heavily plot related. I don’t see how they could fit it in Skyrim without screwing up lore pretty badly.

I wouldn’t bother reading this if I were you, just more of the same, except these guys say you can poison your weapons using giant spider blood.

Just dropping the link incase anyone doesn’t believe me: https://www.telegraph.co.uk/technology/video-games/8581427/The-Elder-Scrolls-V-Skyrim-preview.html

Nothing much, but still a cool little addition in my opinion.

I don’t know why, but I really hope creatures like big spiders (and others that are similar) can paralyze you. I feel it would really make for much more intense fights with them.

I would be in a somewhat computer-out-the-window mood if I got lolmauled by a giant spider because he paralyzed me on the first hit.

Well, maybe it would be a heavier attack for the spider that is easy to dodge. That way, you feel like a moron if you actually get hit by it. Difficulty could also determine the speed and ease of dodging such attacks, if used at all.

Perhaps, but if it is fast enough to wreck you when you are using a power attack, then it is probably too fast, and if it is slow enough for you to be able to get out of the way after using a power attack, it is too slow.

I think for the big spiders it would be a bad idea, because they would just do too much damage. I think if there were little spiders that could paralyze you like in OOO though, that would be pretty cool.

yes.

indeed. Maiq has already been discovered in the demo build that journalists have been playing.

Awesome.

Was he dead?

No, but seriously, he made fun of everyone who wanted crossbows and werewolves and a myriad of other things, it would totally be Maiq to just keel over when he suddenly became popular.

sweet. he prolly looks sexy. Rockin the same gray robe and hood still i hope.

Maybe even a colovian fur helmet.

EDIT: Actually, if there was a small chance that Maiq would send you on one of those radiant story random dungeon crawls to go find him a colovian fur helm, that would be awesome.

I would be satisfied in life than ever before.

Actually, that’s the main thing I hate about skyrim. SPIDERS. they should all fucking die.

From the screenshots, they look extra spider-y too. Gotta love games that make spiders even worse virtually than in real life.

Spiders. Now with 80% more Spider.

I’m glad spiders are in game, especially big ones. I hate them in real life, and because of that it increases the immersion factor for me, since they might actually scare me. That’s of course assuming they are animated creepily enough.

This is what destruction magic is for, shooting the creepy things from a long way off.

i actually got over my fear of spiders thanks to Thief:The Dark Project when i was 13. The game’s very first level requires you to pass through a series of tunnels filled with those little fuckers. i think i spend 2 or more hours on my first play-thru trying to avoid them. it sounds silly to be so freaked out by videogame spiders, but i could hear them hissing and skittering around the corner. Once i realized i HAD to deal with them i ran in swinging and dealt with my fear head-on. My testes had finally dropped.

…then they sucked back in once i saw my first zombie.
