TES V announced at last - it's Skyrim!

Well, Alvor has been seared alive by a Blood Dragon.

I didn’t even notice it was misspelled lol. Well whatever, at least it’s not an MMO or anything where I’d be staring at my mistake all the time.

showracemenu and fix it IMO

Oh. Right. Lol I forgot about that

Hahaha that’s pretty funny. When I first started playing APB, I accidentally misspelled my Character’s name, which turned out to be the proper spelling of a different name, which I decided I liked better.

Two questions :

Does using the console to change character name(s) and hair/beard have any effect on achievements? Fallout: New Vegas disabled them all the moment you touched the tilde key. LOL Not like i care about achievements, but i’m curious.

Also, are options presented at any time to change your hair without console commands? Fallout3 had a barber character and even a surgeon who could mod your face. i’m hoping that if there isn’t, modders can at least ADD barbers with a simple menu like Fallout3. i don’t want to accidentally reset my character’s stats like i did in Oblivion.

The only thing opening the showracemenu does is remove your makeup effects on all your saves of that character for whatever reason. It doesn’t change your face shape, gender, race or stats or level. When you leave the Showracemenu, whatever makeup effects you have put on your character will be saved to all of your saves, so just remember what you’ve got before you go in, and everything will be fine.

No, there is no barber/sergeon character as far as I’m aware.

I’ve used showracemenu multiple times throughout the course of my game, because I decide I want better hair, change it and then change it back right away because I already had the best hair in the first place.

Rot didn’t mention it, but no, it does not disable achievements. Other cheats, I dunno, but the race menu does not.

Dawnstar. Man, I wish I could buy a house there. And I mean a proper house, not that creepy Brotherhood cave filled with blood and scary stuff. If there’s a mod that allows you to buy a house there, I’m totally installing it.

I thought you could buy a house anywhere as long as you got the Jarl’s approval?

I think not, as far as I could see here. A shame, I love Dawnstar.

Got my first decapitation. It was with a Bandit leader on the highest pillar of a fort too. Bitch got on his knees and I severed his head off with an assassination-like slash. and boy, was it sexy.

I hate how revealing all the armor in skyrim is. It’s pretty cold so why not?? Not even Oblivion was like this.

As you get to a higher level, much more covered and solid sealed armors will emerge in Skyrim. it’s part of the leveling system.

For example, I’m rockin steel plate armor right now and not a square inch of skin is showing on my manly man Nord character.

Beth was probably like “All the mods are making the armor revealing, guess we might aswell just do that”

I guess you can call it https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/Fanservice then

i needs help :
i, for the life of me, cannot find a road to Morthal. i’ve been trying forever to get up there BY ROAD! i took the highway West from Fort Greymoor and followed it half way up to Solitude before i realized it’d dead-end at the wrong city. So i back-tracked and took a look at the road map that came with my copy of the game. So it looks like there’s a road that leads North from Greymoor that goes straight up to Morthal.

So i marched straight up the highway, following the map. Once i reached the base of the mountain before me, the road dead-ends at Hamvir’s Rest. if you look at the map, the road CLEARLY passes through that graveyard! i tracked the road all the way South back to Greymoor and checked for forks or hidden turns and found nothing. i’m totally stumped.

Please don’t tell me to just climb up the mountain or question why i don’t trudge through the open fields and travel off the road. i’m roleplaying. This is how i like to play the game. Please please PLEASE, can somebody just point out a road that i might have missed. Everybody i’ve asked for advice just gives me shit for sticking to roads.

if i was a real person in Skyrim with a wagon full of cabbages, how would i safely get my produce to Morthal? As you might have seen, i already gave up and ditched my load just before Hamvir’s Reach. :stuck_out_tongue:

Use the Clairvoyance spell.

I think you should be able to get there by passing through Labyrinthian and then following the western roads, not totally sure. I know you can get there by passing through Labyrinthian and heading cross country.

I haven’t played the game enough yet, does light armor also do this? I’m tired of running around in a skirt and need some pants.
