TES V announced at last - it's Skyrim!

Apparently it’s not compatible with the HD texture pack just released but I’ll keep an eye on it.

Ah. The reason you couldn’t find it is because I went full retard on the spelling. I know why, because I was dealing with a “cellante” and didn’t bother to look up “Caliente’s Big Bottom Edition”. Derp.

Anyways, here it is: https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=2666

:warning: Nudity on this page. :warning:

It does comes with an underwear version though, and with bodyslide, you can put the “big bottom” away, unless that is your thing.

Then download TESVAL instead, it will be about as good as Skyboost.

Does this affect male bodies though? Because I’m going to be using a male character.

Alas, it does not.

I feel sorry for you Kairouseki, for you shall never feel the feeling of soft moss and lush grass between your toes.

BECAUSE YOU WILL HAVE NO TOES. :fffuuu:

Be afraid.:what:

So I’m looking for a realistic graphics/crafting/magic/physics overhaul that will make the game more true to life and the landscape more beautiful while not giving me OD powers or capabilities that break the game. Also trying to avoid mods that are ridiculous (such as that macho man mod or turning my swords into purple dildos). Can anyone recommend me any specific mods?

You definately want RWT (Realistic Water Textures) if you don’t have it already. I think the default Skyrim water is amazing but the ponds, swamps and puddles added by RWT are that much better again. It reminds be of the first time I saw the canal water in HL2, after previous experience being UT99.

I’m not using any gameplay changing mods yet. Tbh, I’m waiting for the OOO/FOOK equivalent to come along. :stuck_out_tongue:

I agree, it’s quite good. But if you do install that, make sure you do it through the Nexus mod manager and choose to have splashes, because by default it makes splashes almost non-existant for some reason ( I guess for performance)

Unreal and UT99 had amazing water textures - still the only games without a water shader where water looks like water :stuck_out_tongue:

I thought programs like Skyboost were made useless because Beth’s 1.4 patch basically did the same thing to the game.

I haven’t played Skyrim in a few weeks, nor have I checked the patch notes, I’m still on 1.3, so I don’t know anything about that.

And I’m off! Hopefully the game runs well with all these mods. Textures mostly have to do with RAM right? I typically have a lot of unused RAM when playing games. The game that uses the most is Call of Pripyat with AtmosFear and high res textures, at around 60% of my 8GBs.

Edit: Do you have to run Skyrim through the mod manager for the mods to work?

No, but some mods need the script extender. It’s better to use the mod manager to install and activate mods to make sure the load order doesn’t screw up, and just launch it from the regular exe/script extender.

Yeah, I need the script extender for the UI mod. The others seem to work, though the blood one might not be working, I’m not sure.

Edit: Is there any downside to installing mods through the Steam Workshop rather than the Nexus Mod Manager? I’m thinking of downloading SkyUI through Steam but I’m not sure if there’s problems with doing that or not…

If you can, get a mod through Steam. Infinitely more convenient. You can mess with the load order and all that stuff after that.

I dunno if the built in scripts are more advanced, if it is I’m sure current mods will eventually switch over to it.

Some, like SkyUI, still need the script extender even if installed through Steam.

i’m surprised nobody’s mentioned the awesome collaboration between Bethesda and Valve.
Best. Mod. Evar.
SPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE~!!

They have.

i stand corrected.
Did a word search for “Portal”, “core”, “space”, etc. and saw nothing. i don’t typically click external links anyway unless i know exactly where it goes.

Only not really. But that’s just personal opinion. (because I fucking hated Portal 2)
