Holy fuck yes.
Remastered Daggerfall music for Skyrim
The dungeon music remixes make the game a lot scarier and are very forboding.

Are these the same tracks as the ones that were done for Oblivion?
Either way, I’m pretty excited. It’s downloaded, I’ll go check it out in a bit.
Some of them are similar to the obl pack, but I think they are another guy’s version. Some were actually restructured to be less midi like.
Also:
Bethesda may not know how to code (or optimize), but they sure know how to hide all their problems behind beautiful backdrops.

Creation Kit is out, Skyrim is on the Workshop and the surprise is a free high resolution texture pack you can download off of Steam.
Bethesda is on a roll today.
Yay for 3.1 GB downloads for my slow as fuck download speed.
Anyone got any comparison screens? I’d like to see if it looks better then the custom HD texture packs I have.
The general consensus from what I’ve seen is that no, it doesn’t look better than them, but it can be used with them to improve the textures of objects that mods haven’t done yet.
Eh, good enough for me. I love the vanilla look of the game, so a little more detailed and sharper versions of the original textures are a bonus for me.
Is it just me, or is this by far the most involved they’ve been in the modding community to date?
Hmm, it’s on sale today. Well, looks like I’ll be diving in. $40 is still more than I’d usually spend, but I’m thinking this one’ll be worth it.
I had a -33% coupon so I got it for $26
. I need find some good mods. I know I’m going to install a menu mod, and maybe a texture mod on top of the HD textures that were just released. I don’t want to mod it too much beyond that though.
Has anyone in this thread found a UI mod that’s they like? I’m definitely looking to get one before I even jump in the first time.

Number 1 is what I’m planning to download. I haven’t looked it over though so I don’t know how good it is.
Here’s a great UI replacement mod, SkyUI

There’s tons of texture mods, you should just check them out on Skyrimnexus, but if I were you, I would download the FXAA Post Processing Injector mod, you can configure it, or download other peoples’ configurations, it makes an insane difference in the game, and you can make it more immersive, brighter, darker, realistic, or however you really want to change it.
There’s an ENB config for Skyrim, should I use that on top of the FXAA Injector, or use one or the other?
Edit:
Also, would someone kindly help me figure out how to use a mod manager? Oblivion had one but I don’t know how to work them :retard: .
I’m using The RWT water replacer mod, and it is very nice. Highly reccomended, though the vanilla water is awesome aswell. I’ve also got some mods to make the faces prettier, but I didn’t go with those silly covergirl mods, just a small tweak. I’ll find it for you if you like.
Also, I’d keep an eye on Cellente’s (female)body mod, not for the base body itself, but for the bodyslide program he/she has come up with. It lets you fine tweak every little detail about your character’s shape, and he/she is planning to put his/her future armor replacer on the same system, so you will be able to look exactly how you want to.
Also(and most importantly), it replaces the feet, which are TERRIBLE HORRIBLE AWFUL BAD 1999 QUALITY in vanilla Skyrim, so if you ever plan on walking on high resolution grass in bare feet, get it. Seriously, for your sake, don’t put yourself through the trauma of looking at default Skyrim feet. Think of the children.
I can’t seem to find Cellente’s Body Mod, but here’s my list so far:
SkyUI
RWT Realistic Water
FXAA Injector/ENB
Vurt’s Flora Overhaul
Nicer Snowflakes
Map in Full 3D
Realistic Smoke and Embers
Alernate Sunglare
Enhanced Night Sky
Edit:
Enhanced Blood
Realistic Ragdolls and Force
Most of that is off the PCGamer list I linked earlier. Can’t wait to play the game! Eventually!
You can use the manager, but it was buggy for me. It made installing the mods really simple, but force quit or wouldn’t open for literally no reason pretty often. Doing it manually is probably easier.
Also, download Skyboost.

It can improve your FPS a ton.
