I’m with BahamutBBob, Portal 2 wasn’t fun at all. I never bothered to play through it more than once, that’s how much I hated it. It goes into the same pile as Homefront for me(That game was even worse).
Normally I would say what, but I could see how he didn’t like it. I mean I bought it for pretty cheap, played pretty far for about 2 nights, and I haven’t touched it since. I just don’t feel like playing it again for some reason. Not that I hate it though.
Anyone else have any problems with jerky mouse movement? I’m not exactly sure how to explain it, it just seems like the mouse doesn’t move smoothly. I Google’d it and people were saying that it was just the way the engine is but it doesn’t seem right.
Do the X and Y axis not sync? Ik Bethesda patched it, but their patches didn’t work for me and I had to edit my .ini files to fix it.
i ini’d my moose to work gooder.
Mouse smoothing is always present, even when set to “off”. Unless you disable it completely by tweaking your ini, you’re always going to have a little lag. Also, the Y axis is set slightly higher than X by default. My mouse movement looks a little robotic but that’s just how i like it, but i can show my settings if you want.
But, anyway, back onto the topic of mods… AHEM Bethesda needs to let their in-house developers post their own shit on TESNexus or Steam. Seriously. There’s no way that they can tease us with half this shit and not let us play with it!

What exactly did you do?
Edit: Also, any way to fix the bad shadows? Maybe raising their resolution or something?
Try adding bMouseAcceleration=0 to your Skyrimprefs.ini document under [Controls] if that doesn’t fix the mouse acting weird, I can probably think of a few other fixes for it.
I’ve changed that variable in every .ini file just recently so I’ll try it out.
WHAT.
THE.
FUCK.
Why is that shit NOT in the game? :fffuuu: (probably for buginess and being imbalanced, but still)
HORSE. COMBAT. HORSES WOULD ACTUALLY BE USEFUL FOR ONCE
Also, anyone notice that the game didn’t have dynamic snow?
OH MAHN.
I want that seasonal stuff, that flowy water, those goblins, and those clothing/tree physics.
Yeah… all of that stuff should be put in the game.
It technically did, they just never made it change.
Also I really want that water and mudcrab. Seasonal changes wouldn’t really work because that happens when you cross the map anyway.
I think the seasonal changes would work fine, if they have it so the normal regions have less snow, and of course up north has a lot. But the fact that they actually made vegetation grow over a season with that experiment blows my mind.
If any of that gets put in the game, I will be very happy.
I didn’t like Portal 2. The beginning felt just like the first game, which is fine, then the difficulty jumped up dramatically once the moon gel was introduced. That, or the way my mind works is no good for moon gel puzzles. I enjoyed the coop, but hated the singleplayer, and felt like it added nothing worthwhile to the story. I like J.K. Simmons, but thought the writing for Cave Johnson did him a disservice.
Oh god, just the thought of water arrows and guards relighting torches reminds me so much of the Thief games, that would have fit perfectly with the stealth system. And those hanging dungeon obstacles would be cool if they could be destroyed, a la Dark messiah type traps.
Pitch black dungeons could have been a nice addition to more obscure dungeons (to prevent player complaints) - it would have gave use to the torch and light spells, and made for some quite scary dungeon romps, as well as reducing the repetitiveness just a bit.
That being said, the pitch black dungeon thing is probably the easiest thing to do and possible in a simple mod.
One of my favorites was the water shader. How that didn’t get put in, I don’t know.
Pitch dark dungeons should be vanilla as well. it’s always kind of bothered me that all of these ancient dungeons are pre-lit with candles and torches though supposedly nobody’s visited them in decades. Lighting your way through with torches and lighting candles with a flame would be fun and realistic.
Also, night-eye, light spells and torches are all useless.
Do want.

Well, if Bethesda won’t deliver, I’m sure the community will find a way to replicate and implement. I think that may be one reason why they showed them.
Also, I had no idea that cloth physics would work in Skyrim. My mind was blown.
It looked similar to me as the water mod that’s already released. Not quite sure how they’re different.
