System Shock 2: Source?

You’re too stubborn and thick-headed to lead a mod team. Even if you somehow manage to form one, I just can’t see it lasting too long.

Honestly, I recommend working on something smaller and simpler. See if you can have it come to fruition. Then, maybe and just maybe, you might be able to tackle something as ambitious as a SS2 remake.

This thread went from funny to sad to a complete waste of time so quickly.

Dude, I don’t want tutorials (I already read those), but I need modelers, good mappers, etc.

How about you start modeling yourself? How about you start mapping yourself? How about you start programming yourself? At this rate, you’ll have a mod team of imbeciles assembled by 2050.

You can’t form a team and then be the weakest link.

Tell me, was Black Mesa made with one person? NO it was made with about 40 people! Now tell, why don’t YOU start too! You’ll have an army of f*ckers by 9099

And Maxley, I share the load, but I can’t share it if no one is there. So maybe get off this forum so I can try to recruit people?

Maybe if you stop attacking people for trying to give you advice you would at least get someone to help you.

So you want people to contribute to your mod?

Here’s a good tutorial on how to build a mod team: Link

Remember that from here?

RECRUITING PEOPLE FOR NEW MOD. JOIN THE ARMY OF FUCKERS DEVELOPMENT TEAM!

Seriously, with that attitude you won’t get anything done. You’re too immature and hot headed to be part of any team.

You haven’t shown any shred of original or high quality content so far. You simply had an idea for a mod and suddenly want to form a team to remake a big ass game.

We are trying to make you understand just how big of an endeavor your project is and so far you haven’t shown any sign of humility or comprehension.

You know what? Just the fact that absolutely no one has shown any interest in joining your project so far is proof that you’re not giving out any of the right signals.

More Proof of Work

Oh wow. That’s amazing. Everyone will surely hop aboard now.

Stop with your damn sarcasm, you in specific had been a total jerk to my thread.

Can’t blame him when you have been a jerk to everyone else.

Come on please, I just want to make a mod. I don’t like being hardheaded or a angry joe, but I am sick of this whole argument. I have huge endeavors but no one listens. :[

You have inspired me.

LucasGodzilla, however the words in this thread might seem mean or snarky, they’re solid advice. You have a lot of ambition but it will all go to waste if you don’t develop the skills to back it up. I want to see you succeed so please try something more doable and less illegal.

Here’s some friendly advice… a project of this scale is too big and ambitious for someone of your level of development experience, even if you somehow manage to put together a good team. Perhaps you should try something simpler first, and gain more experience before coming back to this.

The fact that he’s being an idiot doesn’t give you a free pass to be a douchebag.

Thank you, kind advice but still 2 things.

2: I sent an email to EA about the legal issue

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
