Hey LG, good to see you have kind of my same avatar Tried the torrent but it seems no seeds are around. Would you upload it to some service if you still have the original zip file from the torrent?
Possible. I’ll leave the client on on the weekend and see if I am luckier. More than another torrent I was thinking something like MegaUpload, but no worries. Let’s see how the weekend goes.
Why thank you. My manly musk usually only works on the opposite sex, but it has been known to affect the more effeminate end of the spectrum of maledom from time to time.
Drifting back on topic, I wouldn’t mind seeing a continuation of the System Shock series as a whole. While Bioshock was undoubtedly an incredible undertaking and undeniably enjoyable, it’d be like saying “it was released as Doom” in relation to a Wolfenstein sequel. (wow, I had to stretch that far back for a metaphor…I’m gettin’ rusty…)
The story was, easily, one of the best of the era; but given what they’ve done to my beautiful Thief series, I’d probably rather it remain the last nostalgic piece of splendor I’ve always known and loved.
isn’t the current remake enough? Granted, it ain’t no source engine stuff, (infact it uses the same engine-.-) but it gives the textures a nice and new fresh look. and why would you want a remake? as long the game originally looks ok, (I’d say most games after half-life) then why need an update? system shock 2 doesn’t rely on physics or graphics for a creepy atmosphere.
I personally think they did a really good job with Bioshock if it’s considered a spiritual successor to System Shock 2. Not only that but they’re building on what was good in the first game for Bioshock 2, which looks to be a decent game. If anything I’d say that it’s opening up a new era of System Shock fans, just they dont know it
Have you ever even played System Shock 2? BioShock was a damn good game, but they cut so much out of it, that to call it a spiritual successor to SS2 is kind of insulting. The only real things that carried over are guns, ghosts, audio logs, and BioShock had a decent atmosphere. Nothing like SS2, though.
Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
