1: You’re a graphics whore. Thanks for helping to make gaming all about graphics and not about gameplay.
2: Yea, it’s probably a video card error. Time for this week’s hardware upgrade!

I have not bought Starcraft 2 yet and probably will not in the past few years to come.
£32.90 (excl. shipping) isn’t that much
Edit: apparently the cheapest one that ships outside of the UK is £33.90, which still isn’t that much. And it’s £41.48 including shipping, which is about the normal price for a new game.
so, with this tied-to-account thing, does that mean I won’t be able to pick it up used from ebay for $15 in a few months?
dam, I’m not going to spend $180+ for the entire starcraft II experience. guess I’ll have to wait a few years, until they release the battle chest at a reasonable price
Or get a job, buy the first one for an average games price, enjoy it until the expansion comes out in a years time, then buy that one if you enjoyed the first one enough.
The expansions aren’t going to be full price, since, you know, they’re not full games.
You know, the only strategy game I’ve ever gotten into is Civilization. I’ll have to look this up, though.
Why the fuck are you posting in this thread then? >
god, i leave fora half a day, and now this thread is filled with 3 pages of pure shit :fffuuu:
Seems to be the case with threads you start.
I do show interest in purchasing Starcraft II, but I am somewhat financially challenged as of now.
Scratch the years.
Let’s see in a few months or so, perhaps.
Fuck, your response made me cry manly tears
games aren’t worth that much to me, I’ll buy them for dirt cheap, or not at all. there are much better things to spend that money on, especially now with these games having no second-hand value
Too bad you can’t add WC1 and WC2 to your Bnet account
1: You’re welcome.
2: I hope not.
I’ve given my 7 hour trial to the first person who complained about wanting to try before buying, who also happened to be a developer. I hope it convinces you.
Looking through the thread again, I cannot find that post. Whoops! Well, whoever got it and why, enjoy.
So does Starcraft II have a level editor? Or are they removing that to make room for DLC? (Or to prevent people from making their own Protoss/Zerg campaings?)
It has that galaxy editor, which should be pretty powerful.
If it’s anything like WC3’s editor, it should be awesome. And I’m pretty sure there won’t be any paid DLC.
Does a quick visual comparison
Looks pretty similar with a different layout for all the functions.
I can’t actually use the editor so I can’t tell if you they work the same but they at least look like they should at a glance.
Anyway, just finished the single player and I liked it. Near the end it gets strong on the cinematic, but they’re done very well and tell the story so much better than those little headshots from SC1.
My only real complaint is the visual appearance of some of the characters. You can see how the headshots from SC1 influenced the models for the characters in SC2, but it’s still such a drastic change in technology, sometimes it’s hard to see and all the characters look younger than they did in SC1.
Also I suddenly feel very nostalgic about the first game.
