Starcraft II

So i got starcraft II, and i have to say, that it is the best strategy game i have played since the original starcraft. And with blizzards Battle.net 2.0, you dont even have to enter in the product key, all you do it register the game with your battle.net account, then log in when you start the game, and viola, you can play single player, campaigne, or multiplayer.

the mulitplayer in starcraft II is AMAZING, it like playing singleplayer against A.I, but the with updated battle.net, you can become friends with people, play against friends, have A.I in a multiplayer game, if you want more then just 2 players. StarCraft II is amazing

overall score for me is 8.5/10

Fuck that game, gimme Diablo 3 instead.

bscly

Translation: Swampfox is stewing in his own feces.

wow, so this is the only sc2 thread when it gets released after like 25 years of waiting, and it popus up only now, not much love for sc on this forum;D

  1. Campaign is good
  2. You still have to enter the product key when you connect it to your battle.net account, and the only reason this happens is because Starcraft II requires online activation because battle.net 2.0 blows.
  3. No LAN, already had to cancel a LAN party at my dad’s because he lost his internet connection. He’s on SS, he can’t afford it right now. Thanks Blizzard.
  4. Multiplayer was way better in beta when there weren’t 1,000,000 terrible bm players on it.

Oh come on, connecting the product key sounds like it makes sense.
No LAN certainly sucks.
But primarily, I’m looking for an actual reason to get back into RTS’s. I’m not even sure if this is it; I’m worried it’ll all be too competitive for me.
Also, can we have a universal consensus on the time for singleplayer? I heard it was just the Terran campaign.

same. hopefully someone commetns on how accessible (or not) it is. im this close to buying it

i never got rts’s really. duno why. (not gay)

I’m definitely going to buy SC2. Eventually. I think I’ll finish the SC1 campaign first, or something. Maybe I’ll wait until after summer. Or something. I think SC2 is the best thing to happen to online RTS in ages though. And any faults you find with BN2 will surely be sorted out soon enough. I hope they put LAN capability back in soon enough though.

Stream-of-consciousness post right there :3

Just remembered my rule of not paying full price for something I haven’t played.

It’s too bad I never bothered to try the beta, but until they come up with a demo/trial/free weekend then I’m gonna pass.

I’m not going to tell you if it’s good or not, just because I can.

Because we give a fuck if you do.

So has anybody made one of those Simpsons maps for it, yet? I hope they don’t totally rig Homer team again.

If I wanted my own comeback I would wipe it off your mom’s chin.

:hmph:

I’m still not going to buy it because of Blizzards greed with the game.

So I guess there AREN’T any Simpsons maps, yet? :frowning:

I won’t buy it, because Activision is lurking in the background.

Bought it.

Liking the SP so far.

Probably won’t try multiplayer because I play games for fun and not for competition, and seeing as it’s StarCraft, the entire online experience will be shitty because of the elitists and namecallers. Maybe just try it with some friensd, but that’ll be it.

And for the kids that refuse to get it “cuz activision and blizard am suq”: grow up. Blizzard is one of the few developers that still deliver quality in their games and services. While the new Battle.net is a bit of a Steam Lite, it still adds great features like bound-to-account games (the only DRM that works, imho) and cross-game communication.
