In HL: Source, you can infinitely sprint, and you can set the options so that you’re always sprinting, and use a button to walk slowly.
In HL2 your sprint is limited.

I have a Logitech mouse, 5 buttons: Top for sprint, bottom for crouch so…
Stop burninating our dreams.
Do you use a controller combo at all? I find it works perfectly with a 5 button mouse for almost any game. Though I tend to put all my movement related stuff on the left hand/controller side and then all weapon/selecting features to the mouse side.
I could never understand controls that put the movement stuff on the mouse unless the intention is to be able to play one handed during the routine stuff.

Is gordon able to contract swine flu? 0_o

In Half-life 2, pressing ‘Alt’ will do the same thing ‘shift’ did in Half-Life 1: Slow your ass down.
So yeah, I hope the new sprint is reminiscent to the leg-pumping, huff-n’-puff, here-comes-the-night-train, Nike Hi-top megasprinting, like in Doom.
in HL2, the difference between default movement and “walking” was going from 190 to 150. Nobody fucking noticed it, and with how slow the default movement in HL2 was compared to HL1, I sure as hell never had any interest in using it. If it was that important, I just ducked.
Yeah agreed, in Ep2 i hardly ever left the walk key, even though it wasn’t much slower, it became my default speed. I wish they’d crank it down more, atleast so you’r able to walk along with other npcs without stopping every now and then.
Or you could make sprinting work more like arsemode. Just be sure to make the camera switch to third-person (at least momentarily) so you show Gordon putting one hand on his rump.
Ever seen Gordons Diploma from MIT?

I personally liked the Half Life 1 running style. Having to sprint walk, sprint walk, got really iritating. So yeah, I liked hl1’s.
I wanted to know that too, thanks !
And i guess there will be bunny hope ?(kinda)
