So I can't play Half Halo COD???

You know I like video games, But I’m not a person to like games JUST because it’s from “this or that” I like to play games because they are fun, Maybe it’s the community, maybe the challenge, the options or just because some are FUN.

Anyway I remember playing Half life as a young kid, I remember playing Half Life deathmatch along with Counter Strike, Sven COOP and old school Team Fortress. Then I can remember playing Halo at a friends house, loving it and playing that.

Skip a few years and Halo 2 comes out, It isn’t amazing but it’s Xbox Live gold. I lose a PC to use and I pretty much convert to Halo 2 online, Meet friends online (such as with PC online).

Well after a few years I pretty much moved to Xbox, Even when I have the money for a good PC it always goes towards other things, as much as it’s on my mind.

As of now I mostly play Halo, Gears, COD, Half Life 2 on Xbox and Skyrim. (I like keeping to a few instead of 10000 at once) So hey maybe I’m a “Casual” or whatever but my question is?

Why is it that to some I’m automatically some “newb/peon/dumbass” because I play other games other then PC games, or Halo or Gears because SOMEHOW Halo and Gears can never get along with Half Life -__-

And remember I have played Half Life, Way before Halo was an idea, All it’s side games (Opposing Force, Blue Shift, Other mods as well). And I like them all.

Anyway Half Life and Halo are my two favorite FPS series of all time, I have tried others however those two are pretty much the best I have tried. And honestly instead of fighting one another we should join. We have more in common then some of us would like to think.

I don’t like Halo. Your move.

Halo is great but I don’t understand this thread.

Halo is fun but,
[COLOR=‘Black’]There isn’t a single logic on your post

Who the hell likes half life

I’ve never even wanted to play Gears, though at least it looks more fun than CoD.

It’s nice that you like multiple games of the same genre, but who the hell said you couldn’t, and did they force you to make this thread?

Well, generally when CoD/Gears/Halo and Half Life are brought up in the same thread, it turns into a knock down drag out.

I enjoy most of them. Halo not as much as the others, it gets boring after a while. Half Life is favorite pick out of those.

Although I have no problem with Halo and Half-Life, personally I tend to avoid CoD, especially Blue, Atlantic and Black CoD as, in some nations, the Escolar fish can be be confused and thus sold under these names. Escolar is widely known to cause health problems, chiefly keriorrhea, especially when a large quantity is consumed.

Halo is a blast to play.

Half-Life can be pretty drab in the combat dept. but it’s fun to progress through and complete

STOP RIGHT THERE.

I don’t know you at all.

I’ve personally always felt halo’s combat was boring. Unless it was a heavy weapon like a spartan laser or rocket launcher (because there was nice psuedo body physics)The weapons and the way they functioned didn’t really interest me. On top of that, fighting enemies with shields just made me feel like I was shooting walls until I depleted them.

I did, however like meleeing, and running things down with a warthog, especially in CE. Halo 1 had really fluid driving physics.

Usually from what I’ve seen, whenever someone mentions Halo on these forums, it turns into a Halo-bashing bloodbath.

Half Halo COD??!?! brings back memories

Looks like you spoiled the ending…

…Thanks.

  1. This thread was created.
  2. If you have don’t have a pc, why are you on a pc game modding site discussing about console gamers?

I like CoD, they have healthy Omega Fatty Acids that are good for your heart. You’re missing out. Man I do eat allot of white tuna (Escolar) though… I should lay off of that.

I always assumed Halo was designed with the teenagers (That were the same age as me when Half-life came out) in mind when the first Halo game came out. Half-Life is my generation and Halo is the next. But no one says you can’t enjoy both. I certainly don’t {enjoy both}.

What about Doom and Quake here? They are huge FPS’s that are loved by masses of people too.

Halo angers me because the weapons balancing is way out of proportion. I should be able to some damage with the assault rifle, but more often than not, it seems I’m merely tickling them bullets while they come up to me and smack me in the face.

Maybe it’s because I don’t play Halo enough, but I never really can settle on a weapon I like. At least Halo 3 had duel wielding SMG’s.
