Singularity The Game *lagg*

Hey people!
So my problem is that I have this lagg or I don’t know what to call it in Singularity while playing offline (single player)

A video I recorded:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dHjyu-TWUl0

(you can see it at about 0:13)

You can see my specs in the video description.
Please help I tried to google the problem but I found nothing useful…

Thank you!

FRAPs Causes lag. If it’s not that, turn down your graphics settings.

I used fraps to record the lagg, it lagged before fraps, it laggs with low graphs too, and as you can see in the video it has no fps lagg, this is something different. It just stops for a few seconds. And as I wrote in the Youtube description, it even does it in the menu!

I had the same problem actually. I just kept playing and it eventually stopped. You’re lucky though, because my audio was broken and I had to turn it all the way up, and I couldn’t even here the people talking to me over the radio…kind of ruined the game for me.

In order to fix the low audio volume, you have to alt-tab out of the game and turn the game’s volume up on the windows sound mixer.

If you’re suffering from severe texture popping problems, there’s a fix for that, but it actually involves having to edit a couple of files in a hex editor, including the singularity.exe file itself.

Try this at your own risk.

My problem is that at 0:13 the screen stops for abour 3-4-5 seconds and it’s unplayable that way, I have no problem with FPS and things it runs fluently…

That random poster might have been onto something. Did you overclock anything on your computer yourself (ie: not done in-store or by the manufacturer)?

Thanks, I actually already beat it and uninstalled :stuck_out_tongue:

Nope, no overclock here :S

Antivirus? Disable all unnecessary stuff from the background.

Stupid question, but your video card drivers are current?

Yes they are, and the funny thing is, that my little brothers PC’s specs are lower than mine, and it hasn’t this problem on his PC :S

Turn down antialiasing?

use 1 core.
sounds like a sync error to me

If you are using AVG, turn off scheduled scans

I had the same problem in Singularity. After a bunch of frustrating trial and error, I figured out it was because I had blocked Singularity with my fire wall.

A process scanner showed that Singularity’s exe keeps pausing to access network-connection files thus causing the regular hesitation. I changed my firewall to ‘ask me’ when Singularity tries to connect and then just ignore the ‘allow or block’ message from my firewall.

Some tags that may help other searchers find this fix:
Singularity PC game stutters stuttering freezing freezes pauses lags slowing down, slows down, excessive hard drive activity, keeps using my hard drive

Yaaay mate, this is it!! Thank you very much for your help!

why do people keep adding an extra g in lag :expressionless:

dunno, maybe just to tease you Sir Grammar Nazi

this is a spelling error and has nutting to du with grammar
