Should I get Bad Company 2 or Modern Warfare 2?

Going to visit ol’ GameStop in a few days, and I was wondering: “Should I get Modern Warfare 2 or Bad Company 2?”… Personally, I wanna hear your opinions.

BC2

Bad Company 2. All the way. Both are awesome multiplayer games, but MW2 campaign’s 4 hours long. 4 fuckin’ awesome hours, but still, 4 hours. Plus, MW2’s like, twice the price of BC2.

Saints Row 2. That game looks fucking awesome. Totally buying it after Other M.

If you have hundreds of hours to level up, get MW2.

MechWarrior 2? Will that even run on PC’s these days?

Lol’d.

Mechassault is much better than Mechwarrior 2 :retard:

Don’t get off topic guys, anyways, I’m guessing that MW2’s more of just shooting and getting a good score than actually utilizing the teamwork aspects of Bad Company 2? But which game has a better story?

BC2’s one about 8/10 hours long.
MW2’s one about 4 hours long.

I’ll let you decide which one’s better.

BC2 fa’ sho’

You’re the thread joker.

Anyway, BC2 is better. While I have both and enjoyed MW2’s singleplayer and spent hours in it’s Multiplayer, i now realize it takes next to no skill to play online with all the kiddies and their pink clanned names.

TF2 > BC2 > CoD4 > Other online games > MW2.

As someone who owns both games, I’d go with MW2. I’ve gotten much more play time out of it. It’s single player is definitely a step & another above BC’s, with the length of it being about the same as BC’s. The MP is quite addicting due to it’s constant & relaxed reward/leveling system. Coupled along with the “perks” system, it does a really good job at keeping the player interested. A definite con will be the lack of dedicated servers. But I’m sure you’ve already heard about that. Yes it does balance the teams, but it does get annoying at times to have to switch in & out of lobbies.

BC2 is a great game in it’s own right. The leveling is a little slow & tedious, but nonetheless also rewarding. Just expect unlocks to come at slower intervals. It’s MP definitely covers a wider spectrum with it’s destructable cover & vehicles while doing it with less bells and whistles. The SP was kind of disappointing however. It went off to a great start, but that just sort of dissolves into a predictable & cliched storyline after the first three or so levels.

Personally, I’ve gotten a little used to MW2’s “DUN DUN DUN!!!” adrenaline pumping sort of gameplay. When played, the player will definitely notice that BC2 is a bit more bland in a few areas from the character models, to the terrain. But as I said before, it’s personal taste. I suggest you do some more research yourself & decide what fits you best.

Just to use as an illustration, I’ve played MW2 for about 75hrs since release & BC2 for about 35hrs since release. You can’t go wrong with either game though.

Oh & BC2 definitely requires a better rig to run decently compared to MW2. I get about 46 FPS on avg with all settings maxed for MW2. In contrast, my avg for BC2 is only about 30 or so. So factor that as well if you intend on purchasing this for PC.

BC2 All the way, it requires teamwork and strategy to win at MP, not just who can spam the most grenades or rack up killstreaks for an overpowered Chopper or tac nuke. It has huge open maps, not as huge as BC2 mind you, but they make MW2’s maps feel like shoe closets in comparison. Destructible buildings, do I need to say more about that? There are heaps of weapons to unlock and the different classes are fun to play. The soundwork for the game is amazing, they’ve really done a convincing job of making you feel like you’re in a real battle. Oh and it has tons vehicles, MW2 doesn’t have those. And dedicated servers, plenty of those too.

Neither, safe ur money for a better future
