Here’s what I think…

Shepherd is the middle child in fact (If my knowledge serves me right, Blue Shift is the youngest in the HL1 Series.)

And you all know how the Middle Child is never really cared for, then it eventually dies in a corner, covered in it’s own urine/blood/what ever that white stuff is.

So in the long run Valve (The Parents) deeply hates Shepherd (The Middle child) and never wants to talk about him again.

by that logic shepard is the bastard child fathered by someone outside the marriage that is valve. Thats why everyone hates shep. he is a bastard conceived in an adulterous manner.

Personally I think Gordon will die in the end of HL3, and that there might be episodes of the third game to, so maybe they’ll make Half-Life 3: Oppossing Force, probably not, but maybe.

God damnit everyone forgets the forth fucking exansion, Half-Life: Decay, look it up damnit, it was never released on steam, only on ps2, but there is a pc port turned into a mod for Half-Life, Hell, the source remake of Decay is in my sig, Hazard Team, why does nobody know (or even care) about Decay? It’s a good game.

I never really considered Gearbox’s installments canon. They’re just as canon to Half-Life as a regular mod would be, to me anyways.
As for this, well, if they did bring him back, they should bring him back as a Combine Soldier, who has to fight against rebel forces.

Shepard will probably come back in Half-Life 3 or something or they will make some spin-off game like Portal to show what happened to him during the 7-hour war and the events of Half-Life 2 etc. I don’t really know, they might talk about him in HL2 :EP3 and then make the spin-off, that’s what happened with Portal. In HL2 : EP3 they mentioned Aperture Science and the Borealis and they released Portal on the same day on Orange Box (which included TF2, HL2 ( All Episodes), and Portal, in case you didn’t know and probably shouldn’t be posting on these forums or should look up some game history or whatever) So… Long story short, I’m guessing Spin-off from a future episode.

Can someone please explain to me why everyone loves Shephard? He’s a personality-less Gordon clone. And if everyone loves him so much, why do they insist on misspelling his name?
