Me too. The normal one is way to weak. Sure it fires faster but goddamn it feels like the double blast quadruples the damage.

I always start with a single and then follow it with a double if the single didn’t finish it off. It’s especially effective for Alien Grunts, who typically even survive the double shotgun blast, but seems to get finished off okay with single+double, don’t remember what difficulty that was on for that though. The trick is that the double has a delay after it, but the single has no delay after, so you can go straight from single to double, but if you do the double first and then do a single, you get a double pause single.

In hard mode, double blasts make a huge difference.

I play like Grey. If one blast doesn’t do it I will usually follow it with the dbl blast. I normally do not feel like having to pull the trigger a third time.

Yeah, they did. Reason: The HL1 crossbow fires tranquiliser darts. HL2 crossbow fires heated rebar. To the best of my knowledge, tranq darts are not known to nail people to walls.

What if you add a better combat system for the crowbar
Like you run up to them and stuff slows down when you bash them in a very dramatic awesome manner
And you can finish them off in a bloody way like stabbing them twice in the stomach and jabbing their head
