there is a power wire in the center of each group of four grab it with the grav gun and then touch the barnacle with it they will die.
Thankyou.
I love this mod, but I’m not very far into it and I’ve run into a fatal bug:
I’m at the part with the zombie in the green box, and you have to move him along the conveyor belts without hitting any of the hazards. When I tried it first, it ran into the steam jet and the glass broke and the game froze and crashed. So I figured just dodge the shit, and I’ll be fine. I got the box out the door, but then it hit something and the game crashed again. I don’t know how I can get past this part…
Has anyone else run into this problem?
Apparently your computer can’t handle the awesomeness of that zombie escaping. You may have to skip that part, but my guess would be that you have either some missing content, or some altered content. Because it seems to work fine for everyone else.
Yeah, I’m having that bug where you get out of Mr. Whirly but you’re still driving. Just stuck there with Mr. Whirly driving around me.
Right after the barnacle and the jump over the truck. How are people fixing this?
“ent_fire ui deactivate” should do the trick.
Thanks a million for that; I was getting the same bug.
[EDIT: Hooray! I didn’t see page 3! :ninja:]
Try putting your settings way, way down. Might be able to handle it better.
^Because It emits a huge cloud of gooey particles on hit.
Fantastic mod this one, should serve as inspiration for anyone attempting to create single player content on the Source engine. He obviously has a great mind for puzzles!
The Walkthrough of this mod I’ve made gave me a lot of views on YouTube in just 3 days
I was 80th in Germany for “most viewed videos” on 22 July
Ugh…why can’t I play this game without serious lag?
I have no problems with Episode 2 it’s just this game, it slows down itself and whatever else i’m doing.
^^
I have the opposite.
I can play this mod at 40+FPS, whereas EP2 struggles to get above 15.
Mr.Whirly… I was very happy when I got to that part
Everyone who liked this mod should definitely check out the Penumbra series on Steam, I think there’s a sale on for them as well right now. It’s very similar stuff.
My Graphics Card is A GeForce fx 5200, 40 fps is but a dream for me.
I just downloaded it last night. I’m not very far into yet but so far so good. It seems like a great mod!
Playin’ through it, and I must say that while the puzzles are good, from a logical point of view it is a total failure. How a I supposed to know that I must send a catwalk punch a fuckin’ huge concrete thing so it’ll fly into the air as if it was a teddy bear, then go and punch more huge concrete things so it’ll create a domino effect and then make explode some explosive barrels on a radioactive goo, thus clearing a way to a retractable ladder.
Or that I must spin a fuckin’ huge container then jump in it using the same catwalk after clearing my way into a corridor made out of wood and metal grill with plugs carefully placed so they can hang and shock the shit out of me, then use a fuckin’ metal beam to make a bridge and use it to clear some other carefully plugs.
Or that I must use a zombie torso in an elevator to lift a giant concrete cube, then use the same living torso to get myself up a catwalk, then moving vents with my bare hands to make my way on top of some other vents.
Also the puzzles we’re mostly not very obvious. Most of the time I just went into a giant room, pushed buttons, moved things then after 30 mins I managed to get a little idea of what I had to do.
And they forgot one thing: Most of gamers don’t look up. And what did I ended up doing eighty percent of the time? Looking up. Oh and raging too, especially in the level three where you being hit by two mines and two choppers, or where you’re being chased by a horde of zombies, electric mines and a chopper.
So IMO there are some good parts, but there is also a lot of frustrating parts.
Work on your intuition, young padawan.
It took me from 30 seconds to 1,5 minutes to figure out any puzzle.
Funny thing is, 3 years ago I’d have the same problem and end up RAAAAAAGING
Lol, I just rushed through after I was fed up with this shit.
It took 5 minutes for me to understand that I cannot harm the chopper.
Red “SHIT!!!” on the monitor is rewarding tho
Well I found the mod a nice challenge, with no real moments where I got stuck (except the first time I had to pick-up the plug to pass the water.)
I’m extremely good with logic puzzles though, especially when it comes to reading the environment in the terms of a game a.k.a. I tend to work out game mechanics and such very quickly.
