After playing hundreds of hours of San Andreas, I went to play the previous games and just couldn’t stand driving without being able to look around with the mouse.

I’m like the only one that likes GTAIV :smiley: . Now, VC and SA ported to GTAIV’s engine would be cool. Though I want to see a GTA game on RDR’s engine. I like how bullet holes stay on people in that game. And SA needed some stuff in the empty wilderness.

I find it pretty unfair to rate GTA4 down because it doesn’t have as much shit to do as the others before it.

GTA4 was a complete reboot of the series, not a direct sequel and they rebooted it with a much bigger emphasis on the story than on the sandbox mechanics and honestly, seeing the route they were starting to go down with San Andreas, if they kept just adding more and more shit to do, GTA4 would be way too fucking bloated and/or silly.

Rockstar had to decide on either focus on the story or on the sandbox mechanics/contents and they chose the story, and to be honest, they made the right choice.

If you want a sandbox crime game where you can just fuck around being silly, there’s always Saint’s Row.
