I guess a lot of people particularly don’t like Resident Evil movies. I’d give better suggestions but I haven’t really seen many movies generally. Those were just films I could recall that were half-decent.
No shit.
Also, Bloodshot, he shouldn’t skip Predator 2. imo, P2 is underrated as fuck and Predators is the bane of the fucking franchise, almost as bad as AVP. It is because of this contention that he should see all three of them.
No one has mentioned Secret Window, a suspense which is as good the second and third times as it is the first in my opinion.
talking about Jhonny Depp:
A Nightmare on Elm Street
Dead Man
Public Enemies (2009 film)
The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus
Alice on Wonderland
Once Upon a Time in Mexico
Pirates of the Caribean Series
some of those suck but dead man is real good
L.A. Confidential
The Departed
I didn’t see P2 so I wouldn’t know
Good call. Every actor in that is awesome.
Way of the Gun is a good movie too.
The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
Once Upon a Time in the West
3:10 to Yuma (the old and new are both good in their own respects)
The Mag. Seven
A Fistful of Dollars
For a Few Dollars More
Butch Fuckin’ Cassidy and the Sundance Motherfuckin’ Kid
(I realize I’ve been listing westerns but while I’m on the topic of Newman and Redford, watch the Sting)
edit: how did I miss High Noon?
edit again: Buster Keaton’s the General. If you don’t watch anything else of his, watch this fuckin’ movie.
The Wild Bunch
The Professionals
Unforgiven
the assassination of jesse james by the coward robert ford
el topo
Fuck, watch EVERYTHING Buster Keaton has ever done. Seriously.
Fuck all these other movies in fact, Just watch Buster Keaton until you die.
I loved the General. That and Metropolis are filed under my silent movies everyone has to watch.
Isn’t Metropolis that really old sci-fi movie with some of the footage missing?
If you like screwball comedies (unfortunately, I do; it’s a weakness of mine), might I suggest the 1970s flick “What’s Up Doc?”
Yeah, I know it has Barbra Streisand in this but she’s actually okay in this. It’s also Madeline Khan’s first feature-length movie and it has, as the judge–in a great casting choice–Liam Dunn (the preacher from “Blazing Saddles”). In fact, the movie has a very Mel Brooksian feel to it even though it wasn’t made by him.
If you haven’t seen it, I highly recommend it.
I love that movie. I am tempted to watch it right now…
It’s still got a little bit missing but most of the footage was restored. They had a premier in Germany this year or last that I found a recording of and it was pretty cool. You might be able to find it on piratebay still. You should watch it if you can, it’s really good.

Except for the mediary bullshit. That was so fucking hamfisted and corny even for the time. In fact, I think that’s what most of the reviewers hated about it too :s
They just recovered a shitload of it last year. There’s only a few frames missing now.
According to IMDB the original cut of the movie was 210 minutes while the restored version is 145 minutes. Wikipedia (and it’s on IMDB too) says 153 minutes for the original though, which sounds closer.
From Wikipedia.
I’m also interested in a silent movie called Greed, which apparently was around 10 hours long when it was filmed. Apparently a janitor cleaning up the place where it was stored threw it away or burned it or something though.
