Raising the bar

Anyone else got it? I got it for christmas…the nicest thing my ex ever did for me :stuck_out_tongue:

omgggg. those things cost like 1/4 of a PS3!

i’ve got a .pdf file of it. feels good, man.

it cost something like £70 I believe and I could’ve just had the .pdf but having the book makes it more awesome :stuck_out_tongue:

I thought Valve doesn’t print the book anymore?

they don’t.

but this is the internet, dude. you can buy used panties, plutonium, genetically engineered half-human hybrids, etc. i would assume there’s some obscure site somewhere (ebay?) where you can buy a book.

I would never do that. The possibility, that it’s more damaged, as it seemed is always there.

book is in near mint condition, was worth my ex spending money ;D

Noob question: what is the book “Raising The Bar”?

trollolololololololol

lol, i was serious :stuck_out_tongue:

You are not a half life fan if you don’t know what raising the bar is

this?

:3

And i’m a definite Half Life fan, i just never heard of this book before… i don’t read much in any Half Life related forums except this one, so i didn’t stumble upon it…

You’re not a fan until you know what it is /fact

Half-Life 2: Raising the Bar - A Behind the Scenes Look: Prima’s Official Insider’s Guide is a coffee table book published by Prima Games in November 2004, comprising a collection of images chronicling the development of, but not limited to: Half-Life 2, Counter-Strike and Half-Life, all of which are developed by Valve Corporation. It also includes notes on the design of the game, information relating to voice actors and other areas. It was written by David Hodgson.

The book has been discontinued and has thus become a collectible item.

And i am a Half Life Fan because i played the entire Half Life Series, more then a few times, i’m still following it, and i enjoyed the games… that alone makes me a fan.

So basically you’re saying that no one can be a HL fan if he has’nt heard of a book about the development of HL? was i supposed to hear about it… where? in a fanboy forum? in here? Half Life is an amazing game, and one of my favorites, but i’m no fanboy, and i don’t surf all day in it’s various forums…
so stop being the arrogant dick that you are\fact

חשבת שאני מקלל אותך והשתמשת בגוגל תרגם!

[EDIT] Thanks Aze, but i already searched myself =)

Was there any need for that language sir?
I was just stating the fact that you’re not a fan until you know what that is.
And if you don’t know Gabe Newell is watching then you’re a Halo Fan

I got the book about a year and a half ago off of eBay. I was thrilled when it came still in shrink wrap and with some promotional stickers!

I hate you, so much -_-

Though if you are the ultimate fan of half life you would buy the headcrab zombie statue…I would but that would a be a months wages gone like that.

A true half-life fan builds an anti-mass spectrometer and initiate a dimensional rift.
