OK, Sony have just announced the PS3 slim, and a price cut to 299 euros/dollars. This really pulls the price back into contention.
Behold the ugly! :’(

:fffuuu:
It won’t be worth shit until they give back its BC.
Ugh…that looks worse than the 360…
I think they’re working on it.

Not that I care. My PS2 works fine.
looks like an cheap chinese remake
It looks like the inbred child of a PS2 and PS3.
Come on designers try harder!
Hard enogh?

No
How can you say that this isnt good looking?

Now, THAT is more like it.
I post that way too much, but the situation seems to always call for it.
I’m not sure that it does.
I think it looks awesome.
And if I have the money when September 3rd comes around, I’m buying one for sure.
It’s cheaper, it looks it. How much does a gloss coating cost?
.
I might get it too if I got the money.
Well you go ahead and get the original one that’s $200 more expensive Siggs, but I’m going to get the smaller one with the exact same specs for less money.

Looks are not whats important, it playing games is.
Finally, the damn thing’s at a bearable price. Now I can play Metal Gear Solid 4!
This thing’s not Backwards Compatible? Well, then, Fuck that.
I want a PS3 that’s PS2 compatible so I can play the few remaining games that survived my dad’s video game purge.
And so I can buy Killzone 2. I liked it enough to warrant buying for me.
I thought it was retro-compatible?
I didn’t read the posted article until now. I’d really like to play my Metal Gear Solid 3 and Psychonauts, and I don’t have a PS2 anymore, so if the slim is Backwards Compatible, I’m saving up for one.
